6.6 Hardware Health Monitoring (Section A.14)
CPU_SAN1/2&CHA_SAN1/2 Setting: Optional [Full On] or [Automatic] (PWM speed regulation based on temperature). Automatic is recommended for noise sensitive environments.
Over Temperature Protection: It is recommended to enable it to prevent CPU overheating and damage.
Case Open Feature: If the chassis has an intrusion detection switch enabled, it can record the chassis open event.
6.7 Startup Configuration (Section A.15)
CSM (Compatibility Support Module): If using traditional PCI devices or MBR partitioned hard drives, it needs to be enabled; If it is pure UEFI+GPT, it can be disabled to accelerate startup.
Launch PXE/Storage/Video OpROM Policy: Determine the boot mode (UEFI or Legacy) of the Option ROM. PCI/ISA old cards may require Legacy.

Power requirements and power consumption precautions
Minimum power rating: It is recommended to use a power supply that complies with ATX 12V 2.3 or above and has a rated power of not less than 300W, depending on the CPU and expansion card. For example, i7-4790S (65W)+discrete graphics card+multiple hard drives, it is recommended to use 400W or more.
8-pin+12V auxiliary: must be connected, otherwise it cannot be started. If the power supply only provides 4 pins, it can be inserted into the left half of the 8-pin socket (compatible).
Standby power consumption: In S3/S4/S5 state,+5VSB needs to provide at least 1A to support wake-up function (keyboard/network/USB).
Typical troubleshooting
Fault 1: After powering on, the fan rotates but there is no display
Check if the 8-pin+12V is connected; Is the memory installed properly; Try a single memory and swap slots.
Clear the CMOS (CLCMOS jumper).
Confirm if the CPU is compatible (needs to be LGA1150 Haswell, does not support Broadwell or Skylake).
Fault 2: SATA hard drive cannot be recognized
Check if the SATA Controller in BIOS is enabled and if the mode is AHCI or IDE.
Confirm that the data and power cables are intact, and try replacing the SATA port (especially switching between 6Gb/s and 3Gb/s).
If it is a RAID or hot swappable requirement, pay attention to the differences between AHCI and RAID drivers.
Fault 3: Communication abnormality of COM port (RS485 no data)
Confirm that the COM mode in BIOS is set to RS485 and that COM1 automatic flow control is enabled (if applicable).
Check if the wiring is reversed (A/B line or TX+/TX polarity).
Check if the terminal resistance matches; Check if the ground wire is connected (GND is required).
Observe the transmitted waveform with an oscilloscope and confirm the level amplitude (RS485 is generally a 3-5V differential).
Fault 4: GPIO has no output or input cannot be detected
Check if the JGPIO-PWR1 jumper provides the correct voltage (5V or 12V).
Confirm that the I/O direction and level configured in the API program are correct, refer to the example code.
Use a digital multimeter to measure the corresponding pin to ground voltage during testing.
Fault 5: System unable to wake up (S3/S4)
Confirm that the power supply+5VSB is sufficient (at least 1A) and that the corresponding wake-up source (USB/PS2/LAN) is enabled in the BIOS.
Check the operating system driver (such as whether the network card driver allows wake-up).
Try disabling the 'Fast Startup' feature (Windows power option).
Maintenance and spare parts recommendations
Regular dust removal: There is a lot of dust in industrial environments, and it is recommended to clean the CPU heat sink and fan every six months.
CMOS battery: The lifespan of CR2032 is about 3-5 years. If the system frequently resets, it needs to be replaced.
Firmware update: Using the Instant Flash tool (built-in UEFI), it is easy to upgrade from a FAT32 formatted USB drive without entering the OS.
Expansion card compatibility: PCIe x16 slots support graphics cards, but x4 slots are physically x16 open and can accommodate x16 cards but only run at x4 speed. The PCI slot is 32-bit/33MHz and supports 5V and 3.3V signals (card compatible).
