Key points for driver installation and RAID configuration
7.1 Driver installation sequence
Install operating systems such as Windows XP/7/Server 2008.
Install the Intel Chipset Driver.
Install display driver (GMA 3100).
Install the network card driver (Realtek RTL8111C).
Install the audio driver (ALC888).
Install TPM driver (if required).
If RAID is enabled, press F6 to load the Intel Matrix Storage driver (simulated using a floppy disk or USB drive) during OS installation.
7.2 RAID Configuration
Set 'Configure SATA as' to RAID in BIOS.
After booting up, press Ctrl+I to enter the Intel RAID configuration interface and create RAID volumes (0/1/5/10).
Load drivers when installing the OS.
Common troubleshooting
Fault 1: No display when powered on
Check if the 4-pin CPU power supply is connected; Try a single memory and swap slots; Clear CMOS.
Confirm that the CPU is LGA775 and the FSB matches the motherboard (800/1066/1333MHz).
Fault 2: SATA hard drive not recognized or blue screen (0x7B)
If the AHCI/RAID driver is not loaded during OS installation, temporarily set it to IDE mode in BIOS to enter, and then inject the driver or reinstall it.
Check the SATA data cable and power cable, and try replacing the SATA port.
Fault 3: Communication abnormality of COM4 RS422/485
Confirm that jumper JCOMPWR5-7 is correctly set to the corresponding mode.
Check the wiring of external devices (TXD+/TXD -, RXD+/RXD -), paying attention to common ground.
A 120 Ω terminal resistor needs to be added at the beginning and end of the RS485 bus.
Fault 4: GPIO has no output
Confirm that the power supply of JDIO pin (pin 20+5V) is normal and the software configuration direction is correct (requiring the use of GPIO registers for Super I/O).
Fault 5: Network wake-up (WOL) is invalid
The "Onboard LAN Boot" option in BIOS and the Wake on LAN related option (such as Resume On PME #) in APM need to be enabled.
Power supply+5VSB needs to provide at least 1A.
Fault 6: System time loss
Replace the CR2032 button battery on the motherboard.
Maintenance and spare parts recommendations
Heat dissipation: It is recommended to use the recommended copper core heat sink (115 × 115 × 61.4mm, 4500RPM) to ensure that the inlet air temperature of the chassis does not exceed 60 ℃.
Firmware update: Use AMI Flash tool to update BIOS, pay attention to backing up the original files.
Spare parts: The Q35/ICH9DO platform has gradually been discontinued. It is recommended to reserve key chips (such as Super I/O, network cards) or spare boards.
