The Vibro-meter MPC4 200-510-076-115 is an advanced 4-channel machinery protection card designed for the VM600 series mechanical protection system. This module represents an enhanced evolution of the MPC4 product line, featuring improved firmware stability, expanded diagnostic coverage, and optimized performance for demanding industrial environments.
The 076-115 variant incorporates advanced firmware enhancements that improve data robustness in high-electromagnetic-interference environments. It features an optimized built-in self-test circuit that continuously verifies measurement integrity and reports any deviations to the system controller. The module maintains full compatibility with existing VM600 racks and IOC4T I/O modules, allowing straightforward integration into installed systems.
The MPC4 provides four independent dynamic signal input channels for vibration monitoring, plus two speed input channels for rotational speed and phase reference measurements. Each dynamic channel supports IEPE accelerometers, velocity sensors, and eddy current proximity probes. The module performs simultaneous calculation of multiple measurement parameters, including overall amplitude, displacement, and velocity values, with programmable filtering options for each channel.
Dynamic Channels: 4 independent inputs
Speed Channels: 2 tachometer inputs
Sensor Types: IEPE/ICP accelerometers, velocity sensors, proximity probes
Frequency Response: 0.1 Hz to 10 kHz
Dynamic Range: > 90 dB
Diagnostic Coverage: Enhanced built-in self-test
Firmware: Optimized for EMI immunity
Compatibility: Direct replacement for 200-510-076-114 versions

The module provides programmable alert and danger alarm setpoints for each measurement parameter. Alarm logic includes configurable time delays, hysteresis settings, and latching or non-latching operation modes. Alarm status is communicated to the system controller for relay activation and integration with plant safety systems. The module supports SIL 2 safety integrity level certification for applications requiring enhanced functional safety.
Continuous sensor integrity monitoring detects open circuits, short circuits, and sensor bias failures. The enhanced self-test circuitry provides improved fault detection coverage compared to previous versions. Front panel LEDs indicate channel status, alarm conditions, and module health. Buffered raw signal outputs on the front panel allow connection of portable analyzers for detailed signal analysis without interrupting system operation.
