Fixed-point data can be processed at a 62.5 ms frame rate (16 Hz). The amount of time it takes to read control inputs, condition inputs, run application code, and send output orders to the control valves is known as the frame rate. While the turbine is operational, password-protected updates to the application software can be downloaded to the control module./li> All application software is kept in nonvolatile EEPROM memory in the control module. Application software is displayed as a ladder diagram and is run in a sequential manner. Maintenance employees can add or modify analog loops and sequencing logic by using a library of software building pieces. Also included are math building bricks.
