DS3800NPID | General Electric MK4 Circuit Board GE

DS3800NPIDProduct Description P/N: DS3800NPID DESCRIPTION / SPECIFICATIONS Description The DS3800NPID is a regulator module printed circuit board (PCB) manufactured by General Electric, specifically designed for integration within the Speedtronic Mark IV series. This series is engineered to automate turbine systems and safeguard against hazardous operating conditions. Physically, the DS3800NPID features a metal plate affixed to the board, housing three large metal transistors and one substantial inductor (coil).

These components are interconnected with the PCB surface via wiring. Positioned on the right edge of the board are three large, rectangular grey resistors, each capable of dissipating ten watts (10W) of power. Additionally, a circular red metal oxide varistor (MOV) is located in the right half of the board. Technical Specifications Model Number DS3800NPID Manufacturer General Electric Series Speedtronic Mark IV Type Regulator Module Integrated Circuits 3 ICs on the bottom right side Resistor Networks 28 small yellow resistor networks along the bottom edge Additional Resistors Various smaller resistors with colored bands Physical Characteristics PCB with a metal plate attached Information About DS3800NPID

The General Electric DS3800NPID is a specialized Regulator Module, meticulously engineered as part of the Speedtronic Mark IV series, a highly respected line in industrial control systems. Designed for precise regulation tasks within complex systems, this module plays a crucial role in maintaining optimal operational conditions in various industrial applications.

As a product of General Electric, the DS3800NPID reflects the company's commitment to producing reliable and high-performance components that meet the rigorous demands of modern industrial environments. The DS3800NPID is built as a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) with a metal plate attached, providing it with both structural integrity and protection from environmental factors such as mechanical stress and electromagnetic interference. This design ensures the module鈥檚 durability and longevity, allowing it to operate reliably over extended periods, even in harsh industrial settings. The metal plate also aids in the dissipation of heat generated by the electronic components, helping to maintain stable operating temperatures and reduce the risk of overheating. At the core of the DS3800NPID鈥檚 functionality are three integrated circuits (ICs) strategically placed on the bottom right side of the board. These ICs are critical to the module's operation, handling complex regulatory functions that are essential for maintaining system stability and efficiency. The placement of these ICs ensures optimal performance and ease of access for maintenance or troubleshooting.

Along the bottom edge of the PCB, the DS3800NPID features 28 small yellow resistor networks. These resistor networks are vital components that contribute to the precise regulation of electrical signals within the module. Their uniform arrangement and careful design highlight the meticulous engineering that goes into ensuring the module's performance meets the exacting standards required by industrial control systems. The resistor networks help to control voltage and current levels, ensuring that the system operates within safe and efficient parameters. In addition to the resistor networks, the DS3800NPID is equipped with various smaller resistors, identifiable by their colored bands. These resistors play a complementary role in fine-tuning the module鈥檚 regulatory functions, providing additional control over the electrical characteristics of the system.

The use of color-coded bands on these resistors allows for easy identification and verification during assembly or maintenance, simplifying the process of ensuring that the module is functioning correctly. As part of the Speedtronic Mark IV series, the DS3800NPID is designed to integrate seamlessly with other components within the series, ensuring compatibility and enhancing the overall functionality of the system. The Mark IV series is known for its robustness and reliability in managing industrial processes, and the DS3800NPID contributes to this reputation by delivering precise and reliable regulatory control. The DS3800NPID鈥檚 compact and efficient design makes it a versatile component suitable for various applications within industrial control systems. Its ability to handle complex regulatory tasks with high precision makes it an essential module in systems where maintaining stable operational conditions is critical. Whether used in power generation, manufacturing, or other industrial sectors, the DS3800NPID provides the reliability and performance needed to keep systems running smoothly and efficiently. In summary, the General Electric DS3800NPID Regulator Module is a key component of the Speedtronic Mark IV series, offering precise regulatory control through its integrated circuits, resistor networks, and additional resistors. Its durable design, featuring a metal plate for added protection and heat dissipation, ensures long-term reliability in demanding industrial environments.

The DS3800NPID is an indispensable module for maintaining the stability and efficiency of complex industrial control systems, reflecting General Electric鈥檚 commitment to engineering excellence and reliability.
