The EPRO SDM010 is a versatile signal distribution module designed to interface with EPRO eddy current displacement sensors (such as the PR642x series). It accepts the raw RF signal from one or two sensors (depending on configuration) and provides multiple conditioned, buffered outputs for simultaneous connection to various monitoring and diagnostic devices. The module ensures signal integrity over long cable runs and provides galvanic isolation to protect sensitive monitoring equipment from ground loops and electrical noise. It is an essential component in large-scale machinery protection systems, enabling flexible signal routing without degradation.
Multiple Buffered Outputs: Typically provides 2 to 4 isolated outputs per channel, allowing simultaneous connection to protection monitors, data loggers, and portable analyzers.
Galvanic Isolation: Input/output isolation prevents ground loops and protects downstream equipment from transients.
Wide Bandwidth: Maintains signal fidelity up to 10 kHz, suitable for vibration analysis.
Compact DIN-Rail Mount: Space-saving design for easy installation in control cabinets.
LED Status Indication: Power and signal present indicators for quick visual check.
Compatible with EPRO Sensors: Works seamlessly with PR6422, PR6423, PR6424, and other CONTREC series probes.
Number of Inputs: 1 or 2 (depending on variant)
Input Signal: Raw eddy current sensor signal (RF modulated)
Outputs: 2 to 4 buffered voltage outputs (e.g., -4 to -20 VDC or 0 to -10 VDC) per input
Output Impedance: ≤ 50 Ω
Bandwidth: 0 to 10 kHz (-3 dB)
Isolation Voltage: 500 VAC between input, output, and power
Power Supply: 24 VDC (18–36 VDC), 100 mA typical
Operating Temperature: -20°C to +65°C
Dimensions (W×H×D): 45×100×115 mm (typical for DIN-rail module)
Certifications: CE, UL (pending)

The SDM010 is widely used in power plants, oil & gas facilities, and industrial processing plants where multiple systems require access to the same sensor signal. For example, in a turbine protection system, one output may feed the overspeed protection monitor, another to a condition monitoring system, and a third to a portable analyzer for troubleshooting. It simplifies wiring and eliminates the need for signal splitters.
The module is powered by 24 VDC and mounts on a standard DIN rail. Input connections are made via screw terminals compatible with the sensor's coaxial cable. Outputs are also screw terminals, providing easy connection to various monitoring devices. No configuration is required beyond wiring; the module operates transparently, preserving the sensor's original characteristics.
Designed for continuous industrial use, the SDM010 meets IEC 61000-4 EMC immunity standards and is tested for vibration and shock. Its compact metal housing provides shielding against electromagnetic interference. The module is RoHS compliant and CE marked.
With its ability to distribute signals cleanly and reliably, the EPRO SDM010 signal distribution module enhances the flexibility and safety of machinery monitoring systems.
