The Mitsubishi GT2512-STBA and GT2512-STBD are 12.1 inch touch screen HMIs from the GOT2000 series. These operator terminals provide high-resolution displays, robust connectivity, and user-friendly operation for industrial automation applications. The GT2512-STBA operates on AC power (100-240V), while the GT2512-STBD uses 24V DC power, providing flexibility for different power architectures.
Both models feature a 12.1-inch TFT color LCD with SVGA resolution of 800 x 600 pixels. The active display area measures 246mm (9.69 inches) wide by 184.5mm (7.26 inches) high, with a 4:3 aspect ratio. The display supports 65,536 colors simultaneously, enabling detailed graphics and vibrant operator interfaces. Brightness is adjustable over 32 levels via software, while an analog resistive film touch panel registers input with as little as 2 x 2 dot resolution per key. Backlight is LED type with approximately 60,000 hours operating life at 25°C and 50% display intensity.
The HMI includes 32 MB of storage memory (ROM) for applications and 80 MB of operation memory (RAM) for runtime execution. Program write endurance is rated at 100,000 times. The built-in real-time clock achieves precision of ±90 seconds per month at 25°C, with battery backup provided by a GT11-50BAT lithium battery. Battery life is approximately 5 years at 25°C ambient, ensuring time-critical alarms and logs remain accurate and maintain data integrity during extended power-off periods.
Screen configuration supports multiple font options: a 16-dot standard font displays 50 characters per line by 37 lines for two-byte characters, while a 12-dot standard font displays 66 characters per line by 50 lines. External dimensions of the display unit are 316mm (12.44 inches) wide by 246mm (9.69 inches) high by 52mm (2.05 inches) deep. Panel cutout dimensions are 302mm x 228mm, with recommended panel thickness of 2.0 to 4.0 mm.
Both GT2512-STBA and GT2512-STBD provide comprehensive connectivity: one RS-232C channel (D-sub 9-pin male) for serial programming or device connection, one RS-422/485 channel (D-sub 9-pin female) for multi-drop connections, one Ethernet port (RJ-45) supporting 100BASE-TX and 10BASE-T protocols for seamless network integration, two USB 2.0 host ports (USB-A connectors) for connecting external peripherals and data transfer at High-Speed 480 Mbps, and one USB 2.0 device port (USB Mini-B connector) for direct PC programming. The Ethernet port enables connectivity to Mitsubishi iQ-R, iQ-F, Q, and L series PLCs, as well as third-party devices via standard industrial protocols.
The GT2512-STBA and GT2512-STBD feature a front panel protection rating of IP67F, providing dust-tight sealing and protection against temporary immersion. Rear panel is rated IP2X when mounted in a control cabinet. Operating temperature range for both models is 0°C to 55°C, with storage temperature from -20°C to 60°C. Operating humidity is 10-90% RH, non-condensing, allowing deployment in typical factory floor conditions. Vibration resistance meets industrial standards. Product weight is approximately 2.6 kg. The front panel aluminum construction provides mechanical durability and effective heat dissipation.

A built-in audible buzzer provides configurable alarm notification, with both tone and tone length adjustable via system settings. The POWER LED provides visual status feedback, displaying two colors (blue and orange) to indicate power state and operational status. An integrated human sensor is included for energy management, automatically adjusting display operation based on operator presence.
These HMIs are programmed using Mitsubishi Electric's MELSOFT GT Works3 software, which provides tools for screen design, recipe management, alarm handling, and data logging. The software supports over 200 communication drivers for connection to various PLC brands and devices. Advanced features include remote monitoring via web server, data logging to SD cards up to 32GB, and multi-language project support. The GOT2000 series also supports video input via optional modules and provides OPC UA client and server functionality for cross-platform data exchange.
Both models include an SD card slot supporting SDHC cards up to 32 GB for data logging, recipe storage, and firmware updates. A side interface connector supports communication units, and an auxiliary extension interface is available for optional communication modules. Installation can be further extended with optional sound output modules.
These HMIs are suitable for machine operator interfaces, production line monitoring, building automation, and process control applications. The AC-powered GT2512-STBA is ideal for control cabinets with existing 100-240V mains supply, while the DC-powered GT2512-STBD is preferred for battery-backed or 24V control system environments.
The Mitsubishi GT2512-STBA and GT2512-STBD provide flexible HMI options with a 12.1 inch SVGA display, comprehensive communications, and GOT2000 series reliability. The AC/DC power options allow appropriate deployment for various industrial control architectures.
