INTRODUCTION

The Building Network Adapter (BNA) delivers exceptional price/performance to meet the requirements of both building owners and service providers. With its combination of scalable performance, density and low per-port pricing, the BNA allows network-layer capabilities to be extended to a much wider range of network configurations and environments. Customers can now gain the advantages of high-peformance network and services, including traffic management, to more locations throughout the network. The BNA-1C supports a single RS-485 DC coupled C-Bus compatible communication channel for XL500 family devices with up to 76.8 kbps and single AUI, RS-232 and 10BaseTinterfaces.

Model Features

1. BNA-1C

Interface Configuration: The BNA-1C has an interface to connect a C-bus to Ethernet, an RS485, DC-coupled bus with communication speeds of up to >6.8 Kbps for connecting XL500 series devices.

Additional interfaces: In addition, the BNA-1C is equipped with an AUI (connection unit interface for Ethernet 10BASE-5 over thick coaxial cable), an RS232 and a 10BASE-T (for twisted-pair Ethernet coupling) interface.

2. BNA-2CS

Interface Configuration: The BNA-2CS has two interfaces to connect two C-bus (or s-bus/Fire Alarm System FS90-bus). Both interfaces support RS485, DC-coupled, buses with communication speeds up to 76.8Kbps, including C-bus, s-bus and FS90-bus.

Additional interfaces: Similar to the BNA-1C, the BNA-2CS is equipped with one AUI, one RS232 interface.

Application Expansion: The dual-interface design of the BNA-2CS enables it to support more devices and applications, further enhancing the flexibility and expandability of the network connection.

3. BNA-2DN

Interface Configuration: The BNA-2DN supports two RS-485 AC-coupled Manchester-coded L1/L2-Bus compatible communication channels, as well as a single AUI, RS-232 and 10BaseT interface.
