IS200TRPGH1B | General Electric Primary Trip Terminal Board

IS200TRPGH1B | General Electric Primary Trip Terminal Board

Product Description P/N: IS200TRPGH1B DESCRIPTION / SPECIFICATIONS Description The IS200TRPGH1B is a component of the General Electric (GE) Mark VI series, part of GE's broader Mark lineup. It functions as a printed circuit board (PCB) housing various components essential for its operation. Key features of the IS200TRPGH1B include two large black terminal blocks located on the left side, each equipped with 24 silver metal terminals numbered sequentially from 1 to 48.

The bottom half of the board houses a variety of capacitors: a vertical line of 8 solid yellow capacitors centered at the bottom, accompanied by two parallel rows of small white capacitors totaling 16 units to the left. Technical Specifications Part Number IS200TRPGH1B Manufacturer General Electric Series Mark VI Product Type Terminal Board Trip Solenoids 3 Solenoid Rated Voltage/Current 125 V dc Solenoid Response Time L/R time constant is 0.1 sec Current Suppression Metal oxide varistor Control Relay Coil Voltage Supply 28 V Flame Detector Supply Voltage/Current 335 V dc Flame Detectors 8 Information About IS200TRPGH1B The IS200TRPGH1B is a specialized terminal board manufactured by General Electric as part of the Mark VI series, a well-regarded line of control systems designed for high-performance and reliability in industrial automation and power generation applications.

This terminal board plays a crucial role in the operation of trip solenoids and flame detectors, which are essential components in maintaining the safety and efficiency of industrial processes, particularly in environments where precise control and rapid response are required. The IS200TRPGH1B terminal board is designed to manage three trip solenoids, which are integral to the protection mechanisms within industrial systems. These solenoids are responsible for initiating emergency shutdowns or other protective actions when certain conditions are met, ensuring the safety of both the equipment and personnel.

The solenoids on this board operate at a rated voltage of 125 V dc, a standard voltage level that provides a reliable and stable power supply for quick and effective solenoid activation. The solenoids are designed with a response time characterized by an L/R time constant of 0.1 seconds, ensuring that they react swiftly to control signals, a critical feature for systems where rapid response is essential to prevent damage or hazards. In addition to controlling trip solenoids, the IS200TRPGH1B is equipped to manage flame detection systems, an important safety feature in environments such as power plants, chemical processing facilities, and other industrial settings where combustion processes are involved.

The board supplies voltage and current to up to eight flame detectors, with a supply voltage of 335 V dc. This high voltage ensures that the flame detectors receive the necessary power to operate reliably, even in challenging conditions. The ability to support multiple flame detectors enhances the system's overall safety by providing comprehensive monitoring of potential fire hazards. The control relay coil voltage supply for the IS200TRPGH1B is 28 V, which is used to power the relays that control the activation of the solenoids and other connected devices. This low-voltage supply is standard in industrial control systems, ensuring compatibility with other components and reducing the risk of electrical interference or damage to sensitive equipment.

A key feature of the IS200TRPGH1B is its current suppression capability, provided by metal oxide varistors (MOVs). These components are critical for protecting the terminal board and connected devices from voltage spikes or surges that can occur in industrial environments. The MOVs absorb and dissipate excess energy, preventing damage to the solenoids, flame detectors, and other sensitive components, thereby enhancing the overall reliability and lifespan of the system. The IS200TRPGH1B terminal board is designed for integration into the Mark VI control system, known for its advanced features and robust performance in critical industrial applications. The Mark VI series is widely used in power generation and other industries that require precise control and monitoring of complex processes.

The IS200TRPGH1B contributes to this system by providing reliable control and protection capabilities, essential for maintaining operational safety and efficiency. In summary, the General Electric IS200TRPGH1B terminal board is a highly specialized component designed to manage trip solenoids and flame detectors within the Mark VI control system. Its ability to support three trip solenoids with a fast response time, along with its capacity to power up to eight flame detectors, makes it an essential part of safety-critical industrial applications. The board's integration of current suppression through metal oxide varistors further enhances its reliability, ensuring that the system remains protected from electrical disturbances.

With its robust design and reliable performance, the IS200TRPGH1B terminal board is an ideal choice for industries requiring precise control and rapid response capabilities in their automation and safety systems.
