The liquid-cooled SO84.016 operates with coolant temperature 5°C to 40°C, nominal flow 3 l/min, max pressure 2 bar. Shutdown temperature at heat sink is 65°C. This version is ideal for sealed cabinets or high ambient temperatures. It shares the same electrical ratings but offers reduced heat dissipation into the cabinet.
Control supply: 24V DC (6A start, 2A continuous)
Digital inputs: 6 (2 high-speed probe)
Digital outputs: 3 (50 mA high-side)
Analog inputs: 2 differential (±10V, 12-bit)
Resolver (X6) and high-resolution encoder (X7)
Motor brake output: 24V / 2A
USB, Ethernet, MMC slot, option slots for fieldbus
For air-cooled: maintain 150 mm clearance above and below. For liquid-cooled: connect cooling circuit with 3/8 inch female thread; use drip-free quick-release nipples. The liquid capacity of the device is up to 0.5 l. Ensure the coolant meets requirements (drinking water + corrosion inhibitor, chloride ions<100 ppm).
Commission with DriveManager 5. The 7-segment display guides parameter setting. STO (Safe Torque Off) is standard. For applications requiring frequent regenerative braking, the external braking resistor must be sized accordingly. The brake chopper continuous power is 21 kW (external resistor).
Suitable for motors up to 5 kW (400V). Typical uses include CNC axes, printing presses, converting machines, and test stands. The liquid-cooled version is preferred in dusty or washdown environments where fan cooling is problematic.
Complies with 2006/95/EC, 2004/108/EC, EN 61800-5-1, EN 61800-3 (C2/C3). UL approval for BG3 is in progress.
The LTi SO84.016 offers a robust and scalable platform for medium-power servo applications.
