Mount vertically on a conductive plate. For air-cooled versions, ensure unobstructed airflow. For liquid-cooled, connect to a cooling circuit with clean water+corrosion inhibitor. The device will shut down at 65°C heat sink temperature. Use shielded motor cables (max 10 m for full current rating). External mains choke is mandatory for BG5 and above, but recommended for BG4 in harsh environments.
After wiring, apply 24V control supply. Use DriveManager 5 to set motor parameters, configure I/O, and tune the controller. The STO function must be wired to enable the power stage. The 7-segment display shows status and error codes. Parameter sets can be downloaded/uploaded via MMC card for series commissioning.
Ideal for servo motors up to 15 kW (400V). Applications include heavy-duty robotics, large winding machines, metal cutting, and test benches. The 64A peak ensures rapid acceleration and high torque at low speeds.
Complies with 2006/95/EC, 2004/108/EC, EN 61800-5-1, EN 61800-3 (C2/C3). UL approval conditions apply.
The LTi SO84.032 delivers robust, high-power servo control for the most demanding single-axis tasks.
