Eaton Moeller Series NZMN3-AE630 Molded Case Circuit Breaker

The Eaton NZMN3-AE630 is a state-of-the-art molded case circuit breaker from the Moeller series NZM3, designed for industrial and commercial power distribution applications. Rated 630 amperes at 690 VAC, this three-pole breaker features an advanced electronic release system that provides precise protection for cables, transformers, and distribution systems. The withdrawable version (AE630) allows for easy removal and maintenance without disturbing connected wiring.

Protection Functions

The electronic release provides comprehensive protection with adjustable parameters. The overload protection (L) uses true RMS measurement with thermal memory to accurately model motor heating. Short-circuit protection (I) is instantaneous and adjustable from 1260 to 5040 A. The integrated earth fault protection (G) is independent of mains and control voltages, with adjustable pickup from 0.35 to 1.0 times rated current and time delays from 0 to 1000 ms. This level of adjustability allows precise coordination with upstream and downstream devices.

Installation and Accessories

The withdrawable design allows the breaker to be easily inserted or removed from its base, facilitating maintenance and replacement without disconnecting power cables. Optional accessories include motor drives (NZM3-XAVS), auxiliary contacts, and door coupling rotary handles that provide IP66 front protection. The screw-type terminals accept copper or aluminum conductors up to 240 mm², and the device is finger-safe with IP20 protection in the operating controls area.

The Eaton NZMN3-AE630 combines advanced electronic protection with rugged construction, making it ideal for critical power distribution applications requiring high reliability and flexibility.
