This Rieter PLC system comprises three main modules: the RMC 24/5V 10 power supply unit, the RMC188-1 central processing unit (CPU), and the RMC RIO-1 remote I/O module. This set is designed for use in Rieter textile machinery, such as spinning frames, carding machines, and winding equipment. The RMC 24/5V 10 converts 24V DC input to 5V DC logic power for the backplane. The RMC188-1 CPU executes the machine’s control program. The RMC RIO-1 provides digital I/O for interfacing with sensors and actuators. This system is a complete control solution for OEM textile automation.
RMC 24/5V 10 Power Supply: Input 24V DC (20-28V), output 5V DC @ 10A, 24V DC @ 2A (field). Dimensions: 100 mm × 80 mm × 60 mm. Efficiency: >85%.
RMC188-1 CPU: 16-bit microcontroller, 64 KB program memory, 32 KB data memory. Communication: RS-232, RS-485. Supports ladder logic programming. Real-time clock. Operating temperature: 0-55°C.
RMC RIO-1 I/O Module: 16 digital inputs (24V DC), 16 digital outputs (relay, 2A). LED status indicators. Input filter: 8 ms. Output protection: none (external fuses required).
The system is housed in a metal chassis with DIN rail mounting clips. All modules use removable screw terminal blocks. Certifications: CE, RoHS.
Integrated power supply, CPU, and I/O for Rieter machinery
RMC 24/5V 10 provides 5V/24V DC rails
RMC188-1 CPU with serial communication
RMC RIO-1 provides 16 inputs and 16 relay outputs
DIN rail mountable, industrial-grade construction
LED indicators for power, run, and I/O status

This PLC system is specifically designed for Rieter textile machines, including rotor spinning frames, carding machines, and draw frames. It may also be used in other industrial automation where a compact PLC with relay outputs is required.
Mount the three modules on a DIN rail side-by-side. Connect 24V DC power to the RMC 24/5V 10 terminals (L+, M). Connect the CPU and I/O module via the backplane (plug-in connectors). For the RMC RIO-1, wire inputs to terminals (0-15) with common COM. Wire outputs to the load and supply (AC or DC). Use external fuses for output groups. The CPU’s serial port can be connected to a PC for programming (Rieter proprietary software may be required).
The system is maintenance-free. Check the power supply LED for proper voltage. If the CPU’s RUN LED is off, the program may be missing or corrupted. Contact Rieter service for programming support.
This Rieter complete PLC system offers a ready-to-use control solution for textile machinery. It includes all essential components (power, CPU, I/O) in a modular format. Suitable for replacement or repair of original Rieter controls.
