Robo Cylinder RCA-T Electric Actuator
The IAI Robo Cylinder RCA-T is a rod-type electric actuator that integrates a high-performance servo motor with a precision ball screw mechanism. This compact, all-in-one linear actuator provides programmable positioning, high speed, and high thrust, making it an ideal replacement for pneumatic cylinders in pick-and-place, assembly, and material handling applications.

Integrated Servo Control
The RCA-T features a built-in servo motor with an incremental encoder (1000 P/R) providing closed-loop position feedback. The actuator can be programmed for position, speed, and acceleration profiles via IAI controllers. Multiple operating modes include point-to-point positioning, push-motion (for part pressing), and continuous operation. The actuator also supports a brake option for vertical applications to prevent dropping on power loss.

This electric actuator is widely used in pick-and-place units, assembly stations, parts transfer, and clamping applications. Its high speed and precision make it suitable for electronics assembly, pharmaceutical packaging, and food handling. The RCA-T replaces pneumatic cylinders in applications requiring multiple positions, speed control, and energy efficiency.
Maintenance and Durability
The ball screw drive requires minimal maintenance compared to pneumatic systems. The actuator is designed for long life with a rating of 5000 km travel life under rated load. Grease lubrication is pre-applied, and the unit is sealed to prevent contamination. Optional accessories include dust covers and bellows for harsh environments.
