Since December, listed companies have disclosed new orders. Jianglong Shipbuilding announced that the company signed a shipbuilding contract with Moen Marin AS, with the contract amount of 89.2228 million yuan, accounting for 13.11% of the company's audited operating income in 2022. In addition, China Shipbuilding also announced not long ago that its subsidiaries and Seaspan Corporation and Hanxin Shipping Company signed a number of 10,800 vehicles LNG dual-fuel vehicle carrier new shipbuilding contracts, the total amount of the contract is about 1.46 billion US dollars. The total contract amount represents approximately 17% of the company's audited operating revenue for the year 2022.
According to data released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, from January to November this year, the country's shipbuilding completed 38.09 million deadweight tons, an increase of 12.3%; New orders were 64.85 million DWT, up 63.8% year-on-year; By the end of November, hand-held orders were 134.09 million DWT, up 29.4% year-on-year. From January to November, China's shipbuilding completions, new orders, and hand-held orders accounted for 50.1%, 65.9% and 53.4% of the global total in terms of deadweight tons, respectively.
"Economic Information Daily" reporter noted that according to Clarkson's latest data statistics, in November 2023, the world signed 121 new orders, and in October 2023, the world signed 116 new orders, the number increased by 5 ships.
