Description
The EDS3090 series is a complete portable ground fault locataion solution for ungrounded AC and DC systems. The system locates ground faults down to the load level while the system remains online. EDS3090 series kits may also be used for branch ground fault current measurement in grounded and high-resistance grounded AC systems. All essential components are housed in a robust aluminum case. The EDS3090 system is perfect for large general distribution networks, utilities, ships, healthcare facilities, and more. Various versions of the kit available, including completely standalone portable kits, as well as kits that work with installed BENDER ground fault detectors, including the IRDH575 and LIM2010.

Detailed explanation of core components
(1) Core equipment
EDS195P Handheld Evaluator (System Control Core)
Function: Switching measurement modes, displaying data, triggering alarms, parameter adjustment, supporting two core modes:
I Δ s mode: Grounding fault location in ungrounded systems, receiving positioning current signals collected by measuring pliers;
I Δ n mode: residual current measurement of the grounding system, displaying the residual current value of the branch.
Key features: 3-line 16 character backlit LCD display screen, ALARM LED alarm light (lights up when the threshold is exceeded); Support HOLD data retention, RESET reset, and INFO device information query; Charging through MicroUSB interface.
Power supply and endurance: 3 AA batteries or NiMH rechargeable batteries (≥ 2000mAh), endurance ≤ 60h without backlight, power consumption ≤ 0.5W.
Protection and size: IP40 protection, ABS shell (UL94 V-0 flame retardant), size 84 × 197 × 30mm, weight ≤ 350g.
The PGH series current injector (positioning signal source) is responsible for generating stable positioning current and driving the fault location of ungrounded systems. Different models have clear adaptation scenarios: | Model | Adaptation Scenario | Power Supply Voltage | Maximum Positioning Current (optional) | Core Features|
|PGH183 | Small systems/medical facilities | 230V AC/90-132V AC (-13) | 1mA/2.5mA | Low current output, compatible with control circuits|
|PGH185 | Main distribution system | 230V AC/90-132V AC (-13) | 10mA/25mA | Medium high current output, compatible with main circuit|
|PGH186 | Offline System | 230V AC/90-132V AC (-13) | 10mA/25mA | Built in 50V DC Measurement Voltage, Suitable for Offline/Low Voltage Systems|
Operation design: including ON/OFF switch, current gear switch, back with magnetic strip (attached to metal cabinet), equipped with power ON and positive and negative current cycle LED indicator lights.
AGE185 voltage coupler (optional)
Function: Expand the system voltage range to AC 500-790V (42-460Hz), DC 400-960V, and adapt to high-voltage ungrounded systems;
Parameters: IP30 protection, safety plug+green yellow grounding wire (1mm ²), weight ≤ 200g, size 88.5 × 42 × 21mm.
(2) Measuring pliers
Classified by jaw diameter and adaptation scenario, the core parameters are as follows:
Model Jaw Diameter Adaptation Equipment Series Measurement Range Variable Ratio Weight Dimensions (W × H × D)
PSA3020/3320 20mm 30 series (main circuit)/33 series (control circuit) PSA30: 2mA-10A; PSA33:0.2mA-2A PSA30:10A/10mA; PSA33:1A/0.1mA ≤300g 135×65×30mm
PSA3052/3352 52mm 30 series (main circuit)/33 series (control circuit) with the same corresponding model as above ≤ 700g 216 × 111 × 45mm
