Chapter 4 System Composition and Selection Guide

4.1 Modular System

The TX cam switch and PX load isolation switch adopt modular design, consisting of the following basic components:

Joystick: Provides multiple colors and function options

Switch unit: core on-off component

Contact module: Each module contains 1 or 2 contacts

Install attachments: Implement different installation methods

Emblem: Identify the position and function of the switch

4.2 Installation method

According to application requirements, the following installation methods can be selected:

Characteristics of installation method code

Flat installation.../E front IP65, rear installation and wiring

Center installation.../EZ front IP65, single hole diameter 22.3 installation, card fixed

Rear installation.../Z front IP65, installed from the rear

Surface mount.../11,.../12 front IP65, connected from the front

Installation of distribution cabinet.../IVS installed on the distribution cabinet, depth 45mm

Control screen installation.../VS installed on the control screen

4.3 Flat installation type main switch

Special design for main switch, maintenance switch, and safety isolation:

Model code: ../EA/SVB (flat installation),.../V/SVB (rear installation)

Emblem: Standard FS908 with 0-position padlock function

Handle color:

Red/Yellow: with emergency stop function, compliant with IEC/EN 60204-1

Black/Black: No emergency stop function

Padlock function: Up to 3 padlocks can be added to 0 positions

4.4 Contact module configuration

The contact number of the switch is defined by the standard configuration table and can be selected as needed:

T0X: Up to 11 contact modules (22 contacts), with a single module depth of 9.5mm

T3X: Up to 11 contact modules (22 contacts), with a single module depth of 11.5mm

T5X (B): Up to 10 contact modules (20 contacts), with a single module depth of 16.5mm

P1X/P3X: up to 3 poles+N poles

4.5 Customization of non-standard switches

For applications where standard contact sequences cannot be met, Eaton provides customized non-standard switch services:

Initial customization: The "Cam Switch Customization Model Initial Order Customization Form" (F02 Form) needs to be filled out

Reorder: simply specify the contact number and country identifier (e.g. 4711D)

Customized models: T0X/T3X/T5XB/T5X all have corresponding customized models, and the order number is marked with "- SONG *"


Chapter 5 Detailed Explanation of Main Function Types

5.1 Main switch, maintenance switch/forced manual control switch

Function: As the main power switch of the device, it is used for safety isolation and emergency disconnection.

Features:

Compliant with IEC/EN 60204 and IEC/EN 60947-3 standards

Definitely disconnect the contact, the operating element is rigidly fixed to the spindle

Optional red/yellow handle with emergency stop function

0-position can be equipped with a padlock, which meets the safety requirements of Lock/Tag Out (LOTO)

Typical model:

T0X-1-8200/11/SVB (1-pole, with padlock)

P1X-25/12/SVB (25A, with padlock)

P3X-63/14/SVB (63A, with padlock)

5.2 on-off switch

Function: Used for circuit connection and disconnection, can serve as a main switch or control switch.

Features:

Multiple configurations including 2-pole, 3-pole, 4-pole, etc

Optional with 0 bits or direct on/off

Suitable for load types such as AC-21A and AC-23A

Typical model:

T0X-3-8342/11 (3-pole on-off switch)

T3X-3-8342/12 (3-pole on-off switch)

5.3 Conversion switch

Function: Implement power or load switching, such as switching between primary and backup power sources, star delta startup, etc.

Features:

Switch with 0-position (I-0-II)

Switch without 0 position (I-II)

Can be configured for manual automatic conversion

Typical model:

T0X-1-8210/E (1-pole toggle switch)

T3X-2-8211/12 (2-pole conversion switch)

T0X-3-8212/E (3-pole conversion switch)

5.4 Steering switch

Function: Used for forward and reverse control of electric motors.

Features:

Reversing switch with 0 position (positive 0 reverse)

Directly control the direction of the electric motor

Suitable for lifting, conveying and other equipment

T0X-2-8400/EZ (2-pole reversing switch)

T3X-3-8401/12 (3-pole reversing switch)

Function: Used for speed switching of multi speed motors.
