5.3 FANUC iHMI Intelligent Human Machine Interface
IHMI surpasses traditional CNC frameworks and provides comprehensive support for on-site machining work. In the process of "planning", "processing", and "improvement", provide functions required for each process such as tool data registration, processing time prediction, programming, and post-processing inspection. The main screen serves as the center of each function and can be switched back from any screen using dedicated keys, providing a sense of security when returning at any time.
5.4 CNC operation screen
By integrating the three functions of "programming", "processing preparation", and "processing", the screen switching operation is reduced, significantly improving operability:
G Code Wizard: By using menu screens and input screens with guide images, it is easy to input complex commands, shorten the creation time of machining programs, and reduce program input errors.
Preview of processing program: detect programming errors before program execution, prevent processing defects, and reduce operation time and costs.
Help and Troubleshooting Function: Provides the ability to solve problems on the spot when encountering difficulties.
5.5 Tool Information Management
Centralize the management of tool data for each application in FANUC iHMI, and all tool data can be referenced here. By reading the catalog data provided by tool manufacturers, such as tool models, sizes, and processing conditions, the time required to input tool data can be reduced.
5.6 Maintenance of Information Management
Mechanical maintenance parts can be managed together with CNC, amplifier, and motor maintenance parts to prevent missing confirmations. You can perform maintenance work while viewing the maintenance program manual to prevent work errors.
5.7 SERVO VIEWER
It can display waveforms of machine tool operation such as feed axis position and spindle torque, and can also simultaneously observe PMC signals and sequence numbers to shorten cycle time and improve cutting conditions without the need for additional equipment.
5.8 Operating Manual Browser
Not only can CNC manuals be registered, but machine manuals and process manuals can also be registered. You can search for manuals in front of the machine without looking for paper manuals or returning to the office computer.
Rich user-defined features
6.1 FANUC PICTURE
Simply paste buttons or indicator lights and other visual components onto the computer to easily create machine operation screens. The created screen can be displayed and operated on various models of CNC machines, and complex controls such as network communication and file control can be easily achieved using general scripts.
6.2 C language executor
Create a dedicated operation screen for machine tool manufacturers to personalize the display and operation of CNC. Support multiple window displays, create pop-up screens, and create operation screens using touch screens.
6.3 FANUC LADDER-Ⅲ
In order to achieve personalized design of machine tools, the unique sequential control of the machine tool manufacturer can be combined into the built-in PMC. Programming can be done using ladder diagrams and Function BLOCK, and signal names can be used instead of signal addresses to describe the program. It can be connected to a computer and CNC via Ethernet for monitoring and editing while online.
6.4 Multi C language executor function
It is easy to install new custom screens without changing the already installed ones on the machine tool.
6.5 Ladder diagram program segmentation management function
It is not necessary to change the ladder diagram program already installed on the machine tool for controlling the machine tool, and ladder diagram programs for controlling sensors and peripheral devices can be installed.
Homework preparation support function
The tool can be manually controlled to contact the workpiece for measurement, and the measurement value can be set to the workpiece coordinate system, greatly reducing the preparation time for the operation. The supported measurement functions include:
End face measurement (1 point on the end face)
Outer diameter measurement (3 points on the outer diameter)
Inner diameter measurement (3 points on the inner diameter)
Outer width measurement (2 points on the outer side of the convex part)
Inner width measurement (2 points on the inner side of the concave)
Corner outer/inner measurement
Measurement of inclined workpiece angle (2 points on inclined surface)
Convenient connection and control of robots
CNC-QSSR (Quick and Simple Startup of Robotics) is a feature that helps machine tools quickly and easily import robots, including four sub functions:
QSSR CONNECT: Easily connect the machine tool and robot through an Ethernet cable, and achieve initial setup with the guidance function.
QSSR G-CODE: Control the robot through a CNC program (G-code instructions), use familiar machine tools to operate the handwheel to position the robot, and easily demonstrate on the CNC screen.
QSSR AUTO PATH: Using PC software to automatically generate collision avoidance robot motion trajectories, simply specify the starting and ending points to automatically generate collision avoidance motion trajectories with the machine tool.
