9.1 Ethernet/Industrial Ethernet/Field Network

Using standard embedded Ethernet, NC program transmission and remote maintenance operations can be performed. Supports multiple industrial Ethernet and on-site networks:

FL net, EtherNet/IP (master/slave), PROFINET (master/slave), PROFIBUS-DP (master/slave), DeviceNet (master/slave), CC Link (slave), Modbus/TCP (slave), CC Link IE Field (slave).

9.2 FANUC MT LINK (Operation Management Software)

MT LINKI is a computer software that connects various machine tools in the factory through Ethernet to collect and manage various information of the machine tools, achieving information visualization

Suitable for machine tools equipped with Fanuc CNC, Fanuc robot controllers, PLCs supporting OPC communication, and machine tools supporting MTConnect communication.

By using Ethernet I/O converters, existing device information without Ethernet I/F can also be collected.

Provide a large number of standard screens that display the operating status and actual results of machine tools.

9.3 Visualization of Machine Tool Actions

By simultaneously using MT LINKI and servo observer, servo data and various status signals can be collected to visualize detailed machine tool actions. High speed sampling (1ms) of servo data can be efficiently collected from multiple machine tools.

The built-in PMC function, with powerful dedicated processors and the latest custom LSI, enables high-speed processing of large-scale sequential control:

Program capacity: up to 300000 steps (sum of all PMC paths)

Internal relay (R): up to 60000 bytes

Data Table (D): Maximum 60000 bytes

PMC path: up to 5 paths (total up to 40 programs)

FunctionalBlock function: It is easy to collect reusable ladder diagram program circuit patterns into a FunctionalBlock for reuse. The PMC function model library included with FANUC LADDER-III provides assembly functions such as PMC axis control and peripheral device control.


Security function

11.1 Double check safety function

CNC built-in safety function in accordance with ISO 13849-1 PLd regulations. Using multiple processors to double monitor the actual position, speed, and safety related I/O of servo motors and spindle motors, providing dual paths for blocking power to ensure high safety.

11.2 Network Security Features

By combining with dual security checks, the safety function of the processing production line is ensured, supporting FL net safety function, EtherNet/IP adapter safety function, and PROFINET I/O device safety function.

11.3 Safety Torque Off (STO) Function

The servo amplifier has built-in safety functions that comply with IEC 61800-5-2 regulations. Safely cut off the motor power by using the dual cut-off circuit inside the amplifier. The machine tool can be safely operated with the protective door open.


The main function of improving operational efficiency

12.1 Insulation degradation detection function

The insulation degradation detection function built into the amplifier can automatically measure the insulation resistance of the motor, detect it before insulation degradation causes the machine tool to stop, and achieve preventive maintenance.

12.2 Fan speed drop detection function

By monitoring the fan speed reduction of CNC and servo amplifiers, fan abnormalities can be detected during the warning stage, achieving preventive maintenance.

12.3 Fault detection and diagnostic functions

I/O Link i and FSSB have rich fault detection functions, which can determine the power failure of I/O modules or servo amplifiers and the location of communication cable breakage. The fault diagnosis function can obtain various diagnostic information on the CNC screen that helps determine the system status when an alarm occurs.

12.4 Detector Communication Inspection Circuit

After a communication abnormality occurs in the detector, this inspection circuit is used to determine whether there is an abnormality in the detector, feedback signal cable, and servo amplifier, achieving rapid repair of the problem area.

12.5 Protection of machine tools during power outages

In areas with poor power supply and prone to lightning strikes, it can prevent damage to machine tools or workpieces. By preventing the gravity axis from falling during power outages, shortening the stopping distance, and achieving synchronous retraction of the workpiece and tool, the safety of the machine tool is protected.

13.1 FANUC Tool Path Optimizer

A tool software that uses machining shapes (CAD data) to correct the tool path of machining programs. Input machining programs and CAD data, output the most suitable machining program for FANUC CNC, optimize tool paths, and improve machining surface quality.

A software tool that can verify CNC functions on the PC end, faithfully reproducing CNC operations such as acceleration, deceleration, and smoothing functions, accurately simulating tool paths and machining time.
