ABB Symphony Plus system IOR810 S800 I/O gateway

Overview of IOR810 Gateway

Function positioning: IOR810 is a gateway module that connects Symphony Plus SD/HR series controllers with S800 I/O. It supports integrating S800 I/O into Symphony Plus/Harmony control systems and has the ability to collect sequence of events (SOE) data. The SOE timestamp accuracy is determined by the S800 SOE digital input module.

Communication interface: It is connected to the Module bus (fiber only) of S800 I/O through HN800 I/O bus (electrical or fiber optic), and its core function is to scan S800 I/O modules and transmit data to the controller through HN800.

Connectivity: Up to 7 S800 cluster modems can be connected and scanned via fiber optic Modulabus, with each modem supporting up to 12 S800 I/O modules.

Technical specifications and parameters

1. Hardware and power supply

Power supply: Supports redundant power input, voltage range 21.6-28.0 VDC (nominal 24 VDC), typical current 220 mA (maximum 250 mA).

Installation: Standard 35mm DIN rail horizontal installation, requiring the use of IOR810N200 mounting base.

Redundancy design: Supports module redundancy, with dimensions of 54mm wide x 119mm high (single module), and a base size of 124mm wide x 186.5mm high (can accommodate two modules).

2. Characteristics of HN800 bus

Communication speed: 4 Mbaud, supports bus redundancy.

Connection distance:

Electrical HN800 bus: The maximum distance between the controller and IOR810 is 30 meters.

Fiber optic HN800 bus (using RFO810 repeater): up to 3000 meters.

Topology: Star architecture, up to 4 RFO810 fiber optic links, up to 64 devices per electrical bus, divided into 8 network segments, with a maximum of 24 devices per network segment.

3. Fiber optic Modulus distance

Plastic fiber optic: The maximum distance between IOR810 and the cluster modem or modem is 15 meters.

HCS fiber optic: up to 200 meters.

Glass fiber optic (with TB825 optical medium converter): up to 1000 meters.

The flame retardant rating of plastic materials is UL 94 V-0/V-1/V-2/V5, and the cable complies with IEEE 383 and UL VW-1 standards.

Electrical certification: cCSAus certification, applicable to Class I Zone 2, Groups A/B/C/D hazardous areas, and requires SELV power supply.
