Product Overview

(1) Core positioning and applicable scenarios

Product Name: IRDH575 Insulation Monitoring Equipment (including fault location control function)

Applicable systems: Non grounded (IT) systems, including 3 (N) AC, AC-DC hybrid, and pure DC systems, with voltage coverage of two levels:

Low voltage type (B1 series): AC/DC 20... 575V

High voltage type (B2 series): AC/DC 340... 760V

Typical applications: Industrial scenarios with sensitive loads such as frequency converters, thyristor controlled DC drives, PLCs, etc., such as factory power distribution and automation control systems

Core value: By monitoring the insulation resistance of the system to ground in real-time, early warning of grounding faults can be given, and the expandable positioning function can accurately lock the fault circuit, ensuring the continuous operation of the IT system

Core functions and operational features

(1) Insulation monitoring function

Key specifications of specific parameters for functional items

Measurement range of 1k Ω... 10M Ω covers faults from low resistance to high resistance, identifying risks in advance

The alarm mechanism has two levels of independent alarms (K1 warning, K2 main alarm) and supports N/O (normally open)/N/C (normally closed) mode switching. The factory default is N/O

Measurement accuracy 10k Ω... 10M Ω: 0%...+20%; 1k Ω... 10k Ω:+2k Ω Measurement voltage ≤ 40V, measurement current ≤ 220 µ A, does not affect system operation

Self monitoring equipment fault alarm relay (K3) monitors its own grounding, line connections, and internal circuits, and triggers an alarm when abnormal

Test and Reset: Press and hold the TEST button for self-test, and press the RESET button to clear the alarm memory (supports self-locking/non self-locking modes)

(2) Ground fault location function

Extended Configuration

Core components: IRDH575 host+EDS460 (main circuit positioning)/EDS461 (control circuit positioning)+dedicated current transformer (W series/8000 series)

Scalability: Supports up to 90 EDS4 devices for interconnection, with each device monitoring 12 circuits, covering a total of 1080 circuits

Portable extension: optional EDS3090/EDS3091 portable locator to track the source of faults

Positioning principle and process

Trigger method: Automatic activation after fault or manual start

Signal characteristics: Generate adjustable positioning current (maximum 50mA), pulse period of 2s/interval of 4s, automatic current limiting in case of low resistance fault

Fault identification: The positioning current returns through the fault circuit, and the LCD synchronously displays the fault EDS address, circuit number, and signal strength (mA/µ A). The EDS device also provides local synchronous indication

(3) Data storage and communication functions

Storage capacity: 99 alarm records with date and time, including fault type, insulation resistance value, occurrence time, and will not be lost in case of power failure

Information inquiry: The INFO key quickly retrieves system leakage capacitance, device parameters, alarm history, etc

Navigation keys: up/down arrows (parameter adjustment), Enter (confirm settings)

Status indication: EDS LED (positioning start), EDS alarm LED (fault location), Alarm LED1/2 (two-level alarm), equipment fault LED
