The enable switch is invalid. Check the smartPAD enable switch, XG58 external enable connection, security interface configuration, T1/T2 mode. The enable switch should be in the middle position to move, with the panic position triggering safety stop 1 and the release triggering safety stop 2. After replacing XG19, XG29, and XG58, the enable switches must be tested one by one: move the robot in test mode, press the enable switch to the panic position and hold it for 3 seconds. The robot must stop moving and no enable device error messages must be displayed. If there is an error, the smartPAD needs to be replaced and retested.
Communication interruption. Check the XFKSI RJ45 connection XFUSB1、 Ethernet and EtherCAT interfaces, security interface XG58, controller front and rear plugs, cable shielding and bending radius. The maximum length of XFKSI is 100 meters, and the maximum length of XFUSB1 is 5 meters. After replacing the data cable, it is necessary to re master. The front door wiring harness must have a margin when opening the door and must not rub against the edges of the cabinet.
Cooling malfunction. Check the bottom fan, X1003 connection, protective grille, and cooling fins. During maintenance, according to the cleanliness of the environment, compressed air and water spraying are prohibited. Solvent free, water-soluble, non flammable, and non corrosive cleaning agents should be used, and they should not enter electrical components. If there is a continuous ceiling above, the top should be at least 200mm, otherwise the waste heat will heat the cabinet, causing unexpected shutdown and shortened lifespan.
UPS or battery failure. The battery is VRLA lead-acid 12 V 0.8 Ah, and both batteries must be replaced simultaneously. Pay attention to polarity during installation to avoid short circuits. Before transportation or shipment, the battery connection must be unplugged to prevent discharge. Replace when prompted by battery monitoring. After replacement, power on and check that there are no error messages in the smartHMI navigation bar.
Mechanical and installation issues. Check the cabinet base screws, wheel locks, stacking fixation, parallel spacing, PE equipotential, and cable entry sealing. Unused cable entrances must be sealed with blind plugs or dummy inlets, otherwise IP54 cannot be maintained. All connectors must be locked, cables must not be twisted, and insulation must not be damaged.
Maintenance, storage, and disposal
Maintenance work must be carried out after the cabinet is powered off and locked with a tag. Perform an emergency stop cycle function test once a year. Regularly inspect and clean the internal and external protective grilles based on environmental conditions and pollution levels, while also checking the cooling fins of the robot controller. Check if the plug connection is secure, if the PE potential is reliable, and if all system components are worn or damaged. Check the basic insulation of motor cables and power cables no later than the working nodes in the maintenance table.
When storing, choose a dry, dust-free, temperature stable, windless, and non condensing indoor location. Clean the inside and outside of the cabinet, inspect for damage, remove the battery and store it according to the manufacturer's instructions, remove foreign objects and corrosion, seal electrical connections and cable entrances, cover and seal with plastic sheeting to prevent dust, and add desiccants if necessary. When disposing, classify according to materials: aluminum, copper, steel, electronic components, lithium batteries, lead-acid batteries, plastics, etc. Batteries cannot be disposed of as ordinary household waste and must be returned to the supplier or designated collection point.
