ABB PM864AK01 Classic System 800xA hardware selector

Hardware composition and design

CPU board: includes microprocessor (MPC862), RAM (32MB, of which 23.522MB can be used for applications), real-time clock, LED indicator lights, Initiat button, and CompactFlash interface.

Base plate: equipped with 2 RJ45 Ethernet ports (CN1, CN2, for connecting control networks, supporting redundancy) and 2 RJ45 serial ports (COM3 is an RS232C port with modem control signals, COM4 is an isolated type, used for connecting configuration tools).

Installation method: Adopting a unique sliding locking mechanism, it can be easily installed on a DIN rail or disassembled.

Hardware identification: All baseboards have a unique Ethernet address, which can be found on the Ethernet address label attached to the TP830 baseboard.

Clock frequency: 96MHz.

Computational performance: It takes 0.15ms to perform 1000 Boolean operations.

Storage capacity: 2MB of Flash PROM is used to store firmware, and Flash memory is also supported for storing data.

Application related: Each controller can run 32 applications, each application containing 64 programs and 128 charts; The controller has 32 tasks and can set 32 different cycle times, with the application program having a minimum cycle time of 1ms.


Redundancy and reliability

Redundancy support: Supports CPU redundancy (including CPU, CEX bus, communication interface, and S800 I/O), with a maximum switching time of 10ms under redundant configuration.

Reliability design: equipped with reliability and simple fault diagnosis procedures; Adopting modular design for easy step-by-step expansion; Has IP20 protection level and does not require a casing; Built in redundant Ethernet communication ports; There are redundant power status inputs; Equipped with built-in backup lithium battery (3.6V lithium battery); The real-time clock stability is 100ppm (approximately 1 hour error per year).

Communication capability

CEX bus: Using a pair of BC810 segmented CEX buses, 12 communication modules can be connected to the bus, and the maximum power supply current of the CEX bus is 2.4A.

Modulabus: When the CPU is not redundant, there is one electrical I/O cluster and seven optical I/O clusters on the Modulabus; When redundant CPUs are used, there are 0 electrical I/O clusters and 7 optical I/O clusters on the Modulabus. The maximum I/O capacity on Modulabus is 96 (single PM864A) or 84 (redundant PM864A) I/O modules, with a scan rate of 0-100ms (actual time depends on the number of I/O modules). The maximum power supply current of the electrical Modulus is 1.0A at 24V and 1.5A at 5V.

Ethernet: There are 2 Ethernet channels, the interface complies with IEEE 802.3 standard, the speed is 10Mbit/s, and an RJ-45 interface (female, 8-pole) is used. The control network protocols are MMS (Manufacturing Message Service) and IAC (Inter Application Communication), and the recommended control network backbone is 100Mbit/s switched Ethernet.

Serial port: RS-232C interface (COM3, non redundant only) with a rate of 75-19200 baud, RJ-45 female head (8-pole), non optically isolated, supporting full RTS-CTS; The other RS-232C interface (COM4, non redundant only) has a rate of 9600 baud, an RJ-45 female head (8 poles), optical isolation, and does not support RTS-CTS.

Related to OPC: The event queue for each OPC client in the controller can reach up to 3000 events; Through the CNCP protocol, the clock synchronization accuracy between AC 800M controllers is 1ms; the transmission speed from AC 800M to OPC servers is 36-86 events per second and 113-143 data messages per second.
