The Braids PLC-24/30/E2UK is a 25-meter length of shielded multicore industrial cable. It contains 30 individually insulated conductors (24 AWG) with an overall braided shield, making it suitable for PLC I/O connections, analog signals, encoder feedback, and general field wiring in control cabinets.
Conductors: bare copper, 24 AWG (0.20 mm²), strand 7x0.2 mm. Insulation: PVC, color-coded according to DIN 47100. Pair twisting: none (individual conductors laid parallel). Overall shield: tinned copper braid, coverage >85%. Outer sheath: gray PVC (oil-resistant, flame retardant per IEC 60332-1-2). Sheath diameter: approximately 12 mm.
Voltage rating: 300 V (UL) / 450 V (CE).
Temperature range: -30°C to +80°C (flexing), -40°C to +80°C (fixed).
Conductor resistance: ≤ 79 Ω/km (20°C).
Insulation resistance: ≥ 20 MΩ·km (20°C).
Capacitance: approx. 70 pF/m (between conductors).
Shield effectiveness: ≥ 60 dB (30 MHz).
Minimum bending radius: 10 x cable diameter (static), 15 x cable diameter (dynamic). Tensile strength: 20 N per conductor max. Tear propagation resistance: high. Halogen content: not zero (standard PVC). For halogen-free applications, specify variant -H. Oil resistance: good (EN 60811-2-1).
The 30 conductors allow direct wiring between a PLC's 24 VDC input/output modules and field devices such as proximity sensors, limit switches, solenoid valves, and indicator lamps. The braided shield reduces electromagnetic interference, making it suitable for analog I/O (4-20 mA, 0-10 V) and low-voltage differential signals (encoder).
Strip outer sheath using a slitting tool to avoid shield damage. Connect the drain wire (tinned copper) to ground at one end only (PLC chassis ground). Terminate conductors with ferrules for screw terminal blocks. Avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress. For outdoor use, place in conduit or cable tray.

CE marked, RoHS, REACH. UL AWM Style 2464 (80°C, 300 V). CSA (upon request). The cable meets NFPA 79 for industrial machinery. Not rated for direct burial or continuous water immersion.
PLC-24/30/E2UK: 24 = 24 AWG, 30 = number of conductors, E2 = shielded, UK = unit length in meters (25 m). Custom lengths available (50 m, 100 m). The cable is supplied on a spool with clear labeling.
Store in a dry location between -20°C and +50°C. Avoid UV exposure. The sheath contains no silicone (suitable for painting). Shelf life: 5 years under proper storage. Before installation, check continuity and insulation resistance.
