The CML 6622, also known as the IRD Entek AW10528, is a dual-channel vibration monitoring module designed for continuous protection of critical rotating equipment such as turbines, compressors, fans, and pumps. It accepts inputs from accelerometers or proximity probes and provides analog outputs to PLCs, plus adjustable alarm relays.
Two independent channels, each configurable for accelerometer (IEPE), velocity sensor, or eddy current probe (proximitor). Input range: ±5V or 4-20mA transducer power provided (24V DC, 4mA). Signal processing includes true RMS, peak, or peak-to-peak detection. Filter options: bandpass, high-pass, and low-pass filters with programmable corner frequencies from 1Hz to 10kHz. Built-in integrator for velocity or displacement outputs.
Each channel measures overall vibration amplitude (acceleration, velocity, or displacement) and can also output band-specific values. Dynamic range: 0-50 mm/s RMS (velocity) or 0-500 µm (displacement). Accuracy: ±2% of reading. Resolution: 12-bit ADC per channel. The monitor also includes a 4-20 mA proportional output per channel (isolated, load 600 Ω max).
Two independent alarm levels per channel: Alert (Warning) and Danger (Shutdown). Each alarm has adjustable hysteresis (1-10% of setpoint) and time delay (0-30 seconds). Four form C relays (rated 5A at 250V AC) are available: Relay 1 and 2 for channel A alert/danger, Relay 3 and 4 for channel B. Relays can be programmed as latching or non-latching, energized or de-energized on trip.
Front panel: Dual 4-digit LED displays for real-time amplitude of each channel. Eight LEDs indicate channel status (OK, Alert, Danger, Bypass, Power). Four push buttons for navigating menus, setting alarm thresholds, and resetting latches. A serial port (RS-485) using Modbus RTU protocol allows remote reading of vibration values and alarm status. An optional 4-20 mA retransmission card is available.
Power: 24V DC nominal (18-36V) or optional 110/220V AC module. Consumption: 5W max. Operating temperature: -20°C to +65°C. Storage: -40°C to +85°C. Enclosure: IP20 (panel mount). Dimensions: 96 x 96 x 120 mm (1/4 DIN cutout). Vibration resistance: 5g at 10-500Hz designed for panel mounting.

The primary 4-20 mA outputs can be connected directly to analog input cards of any PLC (e.g., Omron, Siemens, Allen-Bradley) for trending and data logging. The alarm relays can be wired to PLC digital inputs to trigger shutdown sequences. The Modbus RS-485 interface allows the PLC to read vibration values and acknowledge alarms over a serial network. The monitor also provides a “Transducer OK” signal for each channel.
Works with IRD (Entek) accelerometers models 544, 545, 546, as well as standard IEPE 100mV/g sensors. For proximity probes, accepts 8mm or 5mm probes with -24V DC supply. The monitor supplies 24V DC, 4mA constant current for accelerometers. External signal conditioners are not needed.
Used in power generation, petrochemical plants, pulp and paper mills, and mining. The CML 6622 helps prevent catastrophic failure by providing early warning of bearing wear, unbalance, misalignment, or looseness.
CE marked, compliant with EN 61000-6-2 (immunity) and EN 61000-6-4 (emissions). Designed to meet API 670 for machinery protection systems. RoHS compliant. Factory calibrated with traceable certificate.
The CML 6622 IRD Entek AW10528 dual channel vibration monitor delivers reliable machinery protection with simple integration into PLC-based automation systems. Its dual outputs and Modbus capability make it suitable for both stand-alone and networked monitoring.
