Omron 3G3SV-BB007-E 0.75kW 220V VFD for Motor Speed Control

The Omron 3G3SV-BB007-E is a compact variable frequency drive from the 3G3SV series. It delivers 0.75kW output power with single-phase 200-240V AC input. Designed for simple speed control of three-phase induction motors, this drive is ideal for small machinery, conveyors, fans, and pumps. Its built-in PLC interface includes digital inputs and an analog input for speed reference.

Electrical Specifications

Input: 200-240V AC, single-phase, 50/60Hz ±5%. Input current: 8.0A. Output: 3-phase, 0-240V AC, 0-400Hz. Rated output current: 4.2A. Overload capacity: 150% for 60 seconds, 200% for 3 seconds. Carrier frequency: 2-15kHz (adjustable). Efficiency: >95% at rated load. Built-in EMC filter (Class B) and DC reactor reduce harmonics.

Control and I/O

Control method: Sine wave PWM. Frequency range: 0.1-400Hz. Speed regulation: ±0.5% of maximum speed (open loop V/f). Digital inputs: 5 optically isolated (24V DC) – forward run, reverse run, multi-speed select, external fault, and reset. Digital output: 1 relay (NO/NC, 250V AC, 1A) for drive ready/fault. Analog input: 0-10V or 4-20mA (selectable) for speed reference. Analog output: 0-10V (frequency or current monitor).


PLC Interface Capabilities

The drive can be controlled directly by a PLC using the digital run command and analog speed command from a PLC analog output module. Alternatively, multi-speed operation (up to 8 preset speeds) can be selected via three digital inputs from PLC output cards. The fault relay output can be wired to a PLC input for alarm monitoring. An optional RS-485 (Modbus RTU) communication board (3G3AX-PS01) is available for network control.

Protection Features

Overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, overload (electronic thermal), short circuit, ground fault, phase loss, and overheat protection. Stall prevention during acceleration/deceleration. Auto-restart after momentary power failure (up to 5 attempts). The drive also includes a braking transistor (external braking resistor optional) for rapid deceleration.

Programming and Settings

Parameter setting via digital operator (LED display and 4 buttons). Over 200 parameters accessible. Simple menu with 23 frequently used parameters. The drive supports two parameter sets (motor A and B). Parameter copy function to external keypad (optional 3G3AX-OP01). Factory default settings for general purpose applications.

Applications

Typical for small conveyors, agitators, packaging machinery, textile machines, and food processing equipment. The 0.75kW size is suitable for motor frame sizes 71-80. The VFD can be panel mounted or installed inside a control cabinet with ventilation.

CE marked, UL 508C listed (File E171486), cUL, and RoHS. The drive meets EN 61800-3 for EMC and EN 61800-5-1 for safety. It is also compliant with the low voltage directive 2014/35/EU.
