The P152 CPU Board is the central processing unit of the FloBoss S600+ Flow Computer. Representing a significant upgrade from the original S600, this main processor board integrates a powerful hardware floating-point processor that delivers faster and more precise calculations. This increased computational capability is essential for minimizing measurement uncertainty in fiscal and custody transfer applications.
At the heart of the S600+ system, the P152 board ensures all metering calculations are performed using 64-bit double precision floating point numbers. This high level of precision is critical for compliance with stringent international standards, including those from AGA, API, ISO, and GPA. The board's enhanced speed allows for complex calculation routines to be executed efficiently, supporting simultaneous metering of multiple streams without performance degradation.
Advanced Processing and Data Integrity
Hardware Floating Point: The dedicated floating-point unit accelerates mathematical operations, reducing processing time and improving overall system responsiveness.
Tri-Reg Format Storage: Cumulative totals are stored in three separate memory locations to maximize data integrity and prevent loss in the event of a power failure.
LogiCalc User Language: Supports double-precision mathematical functions on database objects, providing flexibility for custom calculations and control logic.
Enhanced Historian: Supports extended data logging and archiving, including monthly, weekly, daily, and hourly reports, as well as large event and alarm logs.
Furthermore, the P152 CPU Board supports a wide array of communication protocols and interfaces, facilitating seamless integration with Modbus SCADA networks, DCS supervisory systems, and intelligent field devices. It enables the S600+ to function as a master, slave, or peer in Modbus/TCP networks, enhancing its versatility in various industrial architectures.
The board is designed as a Eurocard-compatible module that slides in and out from the rear of the chassis, allowing for straightforward maintenance and upgrades.
