The FC-R/PB2/N/12 is part of Honeywell’s C系列 I/O family, engineered for high availability and flexibility in process control environments. It communicates with the controller via Profibus DP (Decentralized Periphery) fieldbus, allowing distributed I/O placement close to field devices. The module is designed to operate in harsh industrial conditions and supports hot-swapping for maintenance without system interruption.

The FC-R/PB2/N/12 acts as a remote I/O station on the Profibus DP network. It receives configuration from the master controller and cyclically exchanges input status and output commands. The module performs continuous self-diagnostics and reports faults via Profibus. Input debounce filters are programmable to eliminate noise. Outputs can be set to a predefined safe state upon loss of communication.

The module mounts on a DIN rail and connects to the Profibus network via standard DB9 or M12 connectors.
