Display and User Interface

Up to 32 different inspection scenes (jobs) can be stored, each containing multiple tools. The unit includes a “teach” function that automatically calculates optimal settings. For advanced users, a PC-based software (FQ Vision Editor) is available for offline programming and batch editing. The system also supports password protection to prevent unauthorized changes.

Typical Applications

The FQ2-D31 is used for: label presence and alignment on bottles, orientation verification of electronic components, missing screw detection in automotive assemblies, date code reading on pharmaceutical packaging, and part counting in blister packs. OMRON provides a 2-year warranty. The FQ2-D31 is still in production as of 2025, but the FQ2 series has been partially superseded by the FH series. For new designs, consider the FH-1 series for higher speed.
