The HYRSP-1500-56 includes a dedicated capacitor charging mode that delivers constant current to a load capacitor until the programmed voltage is reached, then switches to constant voltage. This mode minimizes charge time and prevents overshoot. The supply can charge a 10 μF capacitor to 1500V in under 200 ms, making it suitable for pulsed laser and flash lamp applications.
The unit includes arc detection and shutdown, output short-circuit protection, and an interlock circuit for external safety switches. The high-voltage output is isolated from the input and ground, with a maximum floating voltage of 1500V. The case is grounded for operator safety.
This power supply is used in medical equipment (defibrillators), industrial pulsed lasers, electrostatic painting, and semiconductor manufacturing (ion implantation). It is also suitable for research laboratories requiring a programmable high-voltage source.
