The OEMAX NX-POSI2 is a dedicated motion control module for the OEMAX NX Series PLC system. It provides two independent axes of high-speed pulse train outputs to control stepper motor drivers or servo amplifiers. The module is designed for precision positioning applications such as CNC routers, pick-and-place machines, XY tables, and automated assembly systems. It supports linear interpolation, circular interpolation (with 2 axes), and S-curve acceleration/deceleration profiles.

The NX-POSI2 generates high-speed pulse trains up to 200 kbps, enabling precise control of stepper and servo motors at high speeds. The module supports both open-loop control (with pulse train only) and closed-loop control (with encoder feedback). Positioning parameters such as target position, speed, acceleration rate, and deceleration rate can be set for each axis independently. The module executes positioning sequences based on a point table stored in its internal memory, reducing the processing load on the CPU.
With linear interpolation, the NX-POSI2 can simultaneously move two axes along a straight line, ideal for diagonal movements on an XY table. Circular interpolation allows precise arc movements for applications like routing or welding. The module includes home return functions (high-speed and low-speed), teach-in functionality, and automatic deceleration at limit switches. It also supports backlash compensation and electronic gearing for multi-axis synchronization.
The NX-POSI2 is used in CNC routers, plasma cutters, engraving machines, pick-and-place robots, automated dispensing systems, packaging machinery (cut-to-length), and semiconductor manufacturing equipment (wafer handling). It is also suitable for laboratory automation and medical device positioning stages.
