The Pe323 HSD is a programmable logic controller module designed for industrial automation applications. It belongs to the HSD series of I/O modules, known for their rugged construction and flexibility. The Pe323 HSD provides a mix of digital and analog I/O points, allowing it to interface with sensors, actuators, and other field devices. It can be programmed using ladder logic or function block diagram to perform complex control sequences. The module is designed for mounting on a DIN rail and includes a removable terminal block for easy wiring. It operates on 24 V DC and is suitable for machine control, building automation, and process monitoring.
Power supply: 24 V DC (20.4-28.8 V), consumption 100 mA. Digital inputs: 16 channels, 24 V DC, sink/source (5 mA). Digital outputs: 12 transistor outputs (0.5 A, PNP) or relay option (2 A). Analog inputs: 4 channels, 0-10 V or 0-20 mA, 12-bit. Analog outputs: 2 channels, 0-10 V, 10-bit. Communication: RS-485 Modbus RTU (built-in), optional Ethernet. Program memory: 64 KB (flash). Execution speed: 0.5 µs per basic instruction. Dimensions: 120 mm × 75 mm × 65 mm. Weight: 0.35 kg. Operating temperature: -10°C to 55°C. Storage: -25°C to 70°C. Protection: IP20. The Pe323 HSD is programmed using HSDSoft software (supplied by manufacturer). Languages: Ladder diagram (LD) and function block diagram (FBD). The software allows online monitoring and debugging. Programs can be downloaded via RS-485 or optional Ethernet.
This module is used in small to medium automation tasks such as conveyor control, packaging machines, lighting control, and pump stations. The analog I/O enables reading of temperature/pressure sensors and controlling actuators.
Mount the module on a 35 mm DIN rail. Connect 24V DC power to the V+ and GND terminals. Wire sensors to the input terminals (COM and X0-X15). Connect loads to output terminals (Y0-Y11) with external supply. For analog inputs, connect signal to AI+ and AI-; use shielded cable. Set the Modbus address via DIP switches. Download the program via the programming port.
Clean the module with compressed air. Check for loose connections. No user-serviceable parts; replace the module if defective.
The Pe323 HSD PLC module offers a compact, versatile control solution with a balanced I/O mix. Its ease of programming and robust design make it suitable for a wide range of industrial automation applications.
