The Omron CJ1M-CPU13 is a compact CPU unit for the CJ series of programmable logic controllers. It features 10k steps of program memory, a built-in power supply (24V DC), and integrated I/O: 4 digital inputs and 2 digital outputs (transistor). The CPU also includes a built-in RS-232C port for programming and communication. It supports two pulse outputs (100 kHz) for stepper or servo control and one high-speed counter (100 kHz). The CJ1M-CPU13 is ideal for small to medium automation tasks where integrated I/O and motion control are needed. The V3.0 version indicates updated firmware with enhanced functionality.
Power supply: 24 V DC (20.4-26.4 V), consumption 0.5 A. Program memory: 10k steps (RAM, battery-backed). Instruction speed: 0.1 µs (basic). I/O points: 4 inputs (24V DC, 6 mA), 2 outputs (sink transistor, 0.3 A). Built-in high-speed counter: 1 channel, 100 kHz. Built-in pulse outputs: 2 channels, 100 kHz (for positioning). Communication: RS-232C (port A), optional RS-422/485 via CJ1W-SCU. Expansion: up to 2 CJ1W I/O modules (max 128 additional points). Dimensions: 90 mm (H) × 30 mm (W) × 85 mm (D). Weight: 0.2 kg. Operating temperature: 0°C to 55°C. Storage: -20°C to 75°C. Certifications: CE, UL, RoHS.

The CJ1M-CPU13 is programmed using Omron CX-Programmer (part of CX-One) with ladder logic or structured text. The built-in pulse outputs and high-speed counter are configured via special registers. The CPU supports function blocks and online editing.
The CJ1M-CPU13 is used in small packaging machines, positioning tables, conveyor control, and automated test equipment. The built-in pulse outputs allow direct connection to stepper drives without additional modules.
Mount the CPU on a DIN rail. Connect 24V DC power to the L+ and L- terminals. Wire inputs to I0-I3 and common COM. Wire outputs to Q0-Q1 and common COM (0V). The RS-232C port (9-pin D-sub) connects to a PC for programming. Use a programming cable (CS1W-CN226). Expansion modules (optional) attach to the right side.
LED indicators: POWER, RUN, ERROR, COMM, and input/output status. Use CX-Programmer to read the diagnostic buffer. The battery (CP1W-BAT01) retains program and clock; replace every 5 years.
The Omron CJ1M-CPU13 V3.0 is a compact, powerful CPU with integrated I/O and motion control features. It is suitable for cost-sensitive applications requiring high-speed positioning and simple I/O.
