Yaskawa SGDH-02AE-OY 200V AC Servo Drive (Sigma II Series)

The Yaskawa SGDH-02AE-OY is a compact AC servo drive belonging to the renowned Sigma II family. Mode switching can be performed via external digital inputs or serial commands.

Advanced Autotuning

The drive features real-time autotuning that automatically adjusts position and speed loop gains based on load inertia estimation. It can suppress mechanical resonance using two notch filters (50 Hz to 2000 Hz, programmable depth up to -40 dB). Adaptive vibration suppression reduces settling time for long-stroke or low-rigidity mechanisms. The tuning results are stored in non-volatile memory and can be transferred to a PLC for replication across multiple axes.

PLC Connectivity and I/O

The SGDH-02AE-OY is designed for straightforward integration with PLCs, particularly Omron CJ, CS, and CP series via high-speed pulse outputs or analog modules. The drive provides: 7 digital inputs (24V DC, 4mA) for servo-on, alarm clear, gain select, and forward/reverse drive prohibit; 4 digital outputs (open-collector, 30V/50mA) for ready, alarm, positioning complete, and speed coincidence; 2 analog monitor outputs (±10V) for speed and torque feedback signals. A built-in RS-232/RS-422 interface supports Yaskawa's standard protocol and Modbus, enabling full parameter access from a PLC.

The SGDH-02AE-OY includes comprehensive protection: overcurrent (instantaneous and time-delayed), overvoltage (DC bus > 400V), undervoltage (< 150V), overload (electronic thermal), regenerative error, encoder disconnection, and overspeed. It also features dynamic braking with an internal regenerative resistor (30W, 40Ω) and provision for external resistor for high-inertia applications.
