The Valmet ATB16‑4/2 terminal board (part number 9144047) is a dedicated field wiring interface module that provides a secure and organized termination point for connecting sensors and actuators to the ATB16‑4 controller board or similar I/O modules. It simplifies cable management and reduces installation errors through clear labeling and color‑coded terminals.
The board features 16 screw‑type terminal blocks arranged in two rows of 8. Each terminal can accept wires up to 2.5 mm². The upper row is typically used for input signals (e.g., from transmitters), while the lower row is for output signals (to actuators). The board includes a 50‑pin ribbon cable connector on the rear that mates directly to the controller board, maintaining signal integrity and reducing cabling.
Each terminal is equipped with a transient voltage suppressor and a series resistor for current limiting. The board also includes a common‑mode choke and bypass capacitors for EMI filtering. A ground bar is provided for cable shielding termination.
The board is designed for DIN rail (TS35) mounting, measuring 160 mm x 100 mm x 45 mm. It has a flame‑retardant polyamide housing and is rated IP20.
Mount the board on DIN rail, connect the ribbon cable to the controller, and wire field devices to the terminals. Use ferrules for stranded wires. Label each wire according to the terminal number.
Used in all Valmet I/O subsystems for terminating analog and digital signals.
Periodically check terminal tightness and clean the board with dry compressed air.
The Valmet ATB16‑4/2 terminal board 9144047 provides a neat, protected wiring interface, ensuring reliable signal connections.
