Summary of reform and development of China State Shipbuilding Group in 2022

This is a microcosm of China State Shipbuilding Group's continuous focus on the main industry in recent years to consolidate and enhance the global competitiveness of the Marine industry.

The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed to "improve the modern enterprise system with Chinese characteristics, carry forward the entrepreneurial spirit, and accelerate the construction of world-class enterprises."  In 2022, China State Shipbuilding Group fully implemented the work strategy of "focusing on the market and competing for orders, practicing internal skills and strengthening strength, innovating and making breakthroughs to promote transformation", actively responded to the complex and severe situation of the shipbuilding market, bravely undertook the responsibility of leading the shipbuilding industry and "chain long" of the modern industrial chain of the shipbuilding industry, completed the annual delivery task ahead of schedule, and consolidated the global competitiveness of the shipbuilding industry. The three major shipbuilding indicators continued to maintain the global lead, and the contract amount of Marine engineering business reached a new record since the international financial crisis.

In 2022, China State Shipbuilding Group completed the batch delivery of a series of major ship-to-sea projects, including China's first and the world's largest 24,000 TEU super large container ship, the world's first LNG bi-fuel powered 300,000-ton super large crude oil carrier, and the world's first 209,000 ton Newcastle LNG bi-fuel powered bulk carrier. At the same time, China State Shipbuilding Group seized market opportunities, controlled the pace of orders, paid attention to the quality of orders, in 2022 to undertake new ship orders, medium and high-end ships accounted for 78%, green ships accounted for 37.4%, large container ships, PCTC and other global market share leading, undertake 39 large LNG carriers, the global market share of 25.2%, achieving a historic breakthrough.

In the first half of 2022, Jiangnan Shipbuilding and Grand Ship Group, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Group, successfully completed the first LNG ship order. At this point, China State Shipbuilding Group formed a new situation of Hudong Zhonghua, Jiangnan Shipbuilding and Big Boat Group, which changed the disadvantage of a single enterprise to participate in international competition, and greatly enhanced the international competitiveness and discourse power of China Shipbuilding industry and China State Shipbuilding Group in the field of LNG carriers.

On August 8, 2022, the construction of the second domestic large cruise ship began, marking that China's shipbuilding industry has initially mastered the key core technologies for the design and construction of large cruise ships, and has taken a milestone step toward the mass and serialized construction of large cruise ships while opening a new era of "two-wheel play beads".

In the report of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, it was proposed to "accelerate the implementation of the innovation-driven development strategy." We will accelerate efforts to achieve high standards of scientific and technological self-reliance." At the beginning of the year, the first 6G50ME low-speed machine liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) fuel injection valve developed by Chongqing Hongjiang, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Chongqing, successfully rolled off the production line.

On May 24, 2022, the world's first 6G60MEC-GI high-pressure dual-fuel engine was successfully tested at China Chuanchai Qingdao Final Assembly Plant under China State Shipbuilding Group.

On August 28, 2022, the 6M320DM methanol machine developed by CSSC Power Research Institute under CSSC Power Group was successfully ignited for the first time at CSSC Anchai. In addition, the world's first intelligent unmanned system research mother ship "Zhuhai Cloud" developed by China State Shipbuilding Corporation was officially put into use;

In addition, the ship-borne unmanned submersible acquisition system has achieved new breakthroughs, and the LNG fuel supply control system with fully independent intellectual property rights and the localized DP system have been recognized by the classification society.
