The main leading comrades of the provincial Party committee and the provincial government in the 5 provinces vigorously promoted the supervision and rectification work by putting forward clear requirements, conducting on-site research and supervision, and holding special meetings to promote it.

Experts suggest that all regions and departments should strictly implement the tasks and requirements of the "14th Five-Year Plan" for the Development of Urban Sewage Treatment and Resource Utilization, and speed up the formation of a new pattern of urban sewage collection and treatment and resource utilization with reasonable layout, systematic coordination, safety, efficiency, energy saving and low-carbon. Increase scientific research efforts to improve the quality and efficiency of traditional sewage treatment processes and reduce energy consumption. At the same time, innovate the implementation model, encourage the promotion of ecological environment-oriented development model, and actively guide social capital to participate in the construction and operation of environmental infrastructure projects.
