Trigger and FIFO: Equipped with 1k sampling point D/A FIFO, it supports post trigger, delay trigger, and repeat trigger, and supports DMA transfer to reduce CPU burden.


Digital I/O and Timer/Counter

4.1 24 channel programmable DIO

Digital I/O is based on the 8255 compatible architecture and is divided into three 8-bit ports (PA, PB, PC), which can be configured as input or output through software. Compatible with 5V TTL level, suitable for controlling relays, reading switch status, or interacting with simple serial interfaces such as SPI. The data transmission method is program I/O, which is suitable for low-speed control or status monitoring.

4.2 Dual channel 16 bit timer/counter

Provide two independent high-performance timers/counters with a resolution of 16 bits. The reference clock is 40 MHz and supports external clock input (up to 10 MHz). It can be used for frequency measurement, pulse counting, PWM generation, or as a frequency division source for sampling clocks, expanding the flexibility of measurement and control applications.

Synchronization and Expansion: SSI Bus and PXI Triggering

Multi card synchronization is a must-have for large-scale testing systems. The 2200 series provides two synchronization mechanisms:

SSI (System Synchronization Interface) bus: Multiple cards are connected through dedicated cables (ACL-SSI-2/3/4) to achieve synchronous distribution of sampling clocks and trigger signals, ensuring that all channels start collection at the same time.

PXI Trigger Bus (PXI-2200 model only): Compliant with PXI specification Rev 2.2, it can receive star triggers or PXI trigger lines on the backplane and work in conjunction with other modules inside the chassis.

During synchronization, the master card serves as the clock source and the slave card follows, enabling near zero latency multi card expansion and increasing the number of channels to hundreds.


Calibration and Accuracy Assurance

The automatic calibration function is a major highlight of this series. Using an onboard+5V reference source (temperature drift ± 2 ppm/° C, long-term stability ± 6 ppm/1000 hours), the offset and gain errors can be automatically adjusted without the need for an external signal source, ensuring accuracy stability during long-term use.

Offset error: Typical ± 1-2 mV (depending on model)

Gain error: typical ± 0.06% to ± 0.08% full-scale

This design greatly simplifies the process of on-site measurement calibration and reduces maintenance costs.


Bus interface and power consumption characteristics

DAQ-2200 series: Standard 32-bit 3.3V/5V compatible with PCI bus, suitable for traditional desktop or industrial control computers.

DAQe-2200 series: PCI Express x1 interface, providing higher bandwidth and lower latency, suitable for next-generation embedded or server platforms.

PXI-2200 series: Complies with PXI-1 specifications, with dimensions of 160mm x 100mm, making it easy to insert into standard PXI chassis.

In terms of power consumption, taking DAQe-2204 as an example, the typical current consumption is+3.3V 0.9A and+12V 0.564A; There is a slight difference between 2205 and 2206. Engineers need to consider the overall power budget when designing power supply.


Software Ecology and Operating System Compatibility

8.1 Operating System Support

The official provides Windows 7/Vista/XP/2000/2003 Server and Linux drivers to ensure plug and play functionality in mainstream development environments.

8.2 Development Tools and Driver Libraries

D2K-DASK: A standard driver API for Windows, supporting mainstream languages such as VB.net, VC.net, VB, VC++, BCB, Delphi, etc.

D2K-DASK/X: Driver Library for Linux.

DAQPilot: A specialized driver for LabVIEW that facilitates graphical programming.

DAQ-MTLB: MATLAB data acquisition toolbox interface, facilitating researchers to quickly build algorithm validation platforms.

Upper level application software such as AD Loger and DAQBench accelerate the deployment of test tasks that do not require programming.


Key points of attachment and system integration

The data manual lists key attachments:

DIN-68S-01: DIN rail mounted 68 pin SCSI-II terminal board for easy on-site wiring.

ACL-10568-1:1 meter long 68 pin SCSI-VHDCI shielded cable (compatible with AMP 787082-7 connector).

Engineers should pay attention to separating analog signals from digital signals when wiring to avoid ground loops; When using differential input, twisted pair shielded wires should be used to fully utilize common mode rejection capability.


Selection decision matrix and replacement suggestions

When users are faced with the discontinuation or insufficient performance of the original acquisition card, the 2200 series can be used as an upgrade or replacement option. The following are selection suggestions for different scenarios:
