Lauer P090b/L033/03 Interface Module
The Lauer P090b/L033/03 is a multifunctional interface module designed for use in distributed control systems. It combines power distribution, digital input/output, and analog signal conditioning in a single compact housing. This module reduces cabling complexity and panel space by providing direct connection to sensors, actuators, and power supplies. It is ideal for small- to medium-sized automation projects where flexibility and cost-effectiveness are paramount.

Functional Features
The P090b/L033/03 features a built-in micro-controller that handles communication and basic logic functions, such as scaling, filtering, and alarm generation. The analog inputs can be configured via software for different sensor types. The digital outputs have overload and short-circuit protection, with diagnostic feedback. The module supports up to 247 devices on the RS485 bus using Modbus RTU. The CANopen option allows integration into higher-level fieldbus networks. The module also includes a real-time clock for time-stamping events.
Configuration is done via a PC tool that sets I/O mapping, communication parameters, and custom logic. The module can be remotely monitored and controlled through the Modbus interface.
Installation Guidelines
Mount on DIN rail, connect power (24 V DC), and wire I/O devices according to the terminal labels. For RS485, use shielded cable and set termination resistors. For analog inputs, use twisted-pair shielded cable. Connect the ground terminal to the main earth. Configure the module address and baud rate via DIP switches or software.
Operating Conditions
Indoor use, -10 to 55 °C, humidity<90%. Vibration 0.5 g.
Applications
Small PLC replacement, remote I/O for conveyor systems, sensor data acquisition, and simple PID control.
Compliance
CE, UL, RoHS.
Ordering Variants
Available with different I/O counts, with or without CAN, and with analog input ranges (0–5 V, 4–20 mA only). Extended temperature version available.
