Compliance: VME64, VITA 1-1994.
The MVME2432 utilizes a PCI-to-VME bridge (Tundra Universe II) for efficient data transfer between the processor and VMEbus. It supports both 32-bit and 64-bit data transfers. The onboard memory controller provides ECC protection for SDRAM. The module includes a real-time clock for time-stamping events and a programmable interrupt controller for handling VMEbus interrupts. Boot firmware supports loading of operating systems from Flash, network, or IDE storage.
Industrial process control and monitoring.
Telecommunications switching and routing.
Military command and control systems.
Medical imaging and diagnostic equipment.
Automated test equipment (ATE).
The MVME2432 is supported by VxWorks, Linux, and QNX with comprehensive board support packages (BSPs). The PMC slot allows customization with Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel, or data acquisition modules. The module can operate as a VMEbus master or slave, and includes software libraries for VMEbus DMA operations.
