The SHINKAWA VM-5K SST-2194-001-P001G is a high-performance dual-channel vibration monitor designed for critical rotating machinery protection. Conforming to API 670 standards, this module provides continuous monitoring of vibration parameters for steam turbines, compressors, generators, and pumps, enabling early fault detection and prevention of catastrophic failures.
The VM-5K features two independent measurement channels capable of simultaneous monitoring of vibration velocity, acceleration, or displacement. Each channel supports a wide range of sensor inputs including FK series eddy current probes, MS velocity sensors, and VC series accelerometers. The module's signal processing algorithms extract overall vibration amplitude with high accuracy across a frequency range of 0.1 Hz to 10 kHz.
The monitor delivers exceptional measurement accuracy with ±0.5% FS at 25°C and maintains ±2.0% FS across the full operating temperature range of 0°C to 65°C. The 1000 Hz sampling rate ensures capture of high-frequency vibration components, with alarm response times under 100 ms. Dual analog outputs provide 4-20 mA signals proportional to measured vibration, while RS-485 digital output supports Modbus RTU protocol for system integration.

The module supports hot-swap installation, allowing replacement without system shutdown. Conformal coating protects circuit boards from environmental contaminants, ensuring long-term reliability in industrial applications.
