AB 1407-CGCM Combined Generator Control Module

Product Overview: The 1407-CGCM is a microprocessor-based control and protection device integrated with the Logix series of programmable controllers with a variety of functions such as generator regulation control, protection, metering, etc. It is suitable for a wide range of power system scenarios.

Installation guidelines: Installation environment requirements are pollution class 2, overvoltage category II, vertical mounting is required to ensure sufficient space for heat dissipation and electrical safety distance. Electrical connections include control power supply, excitation power supply, voltage and current sensing, etc. Different connections have specific wiring requirements and precautions.


Operation description: Various functions are realised through hardware inputs and outputs, software interaction with the controller and configuration settings. The inputs and outputs cover analogue, discrete and other types for monitoring and controlling generator operation. A variety of operating modes are available, such as AVR, FCR, etc., each with specific activation conditions and control methods. It also provides synchronisation, load sharing, metering, etc., as well as a variety of protection mechanisms and redundancy features.
