Electric scooters can provide a solution to the pain points faced by traditional means of transportation in modern society. Public transportation, such as taxis and subways, often require a waiting period to take a ride, and the price of using taxi/self-driving parking is usually more expensive, while bus and subway stations are usually a long distance from the destination. The high-speed and portable attributes of electric scooters can better match the short-distance transportation needs of residents in the "last kilometer".

2. Sharing economy drives electric scooter market

Since 2010, shared transportation has gradually become popular, driving a new round of growth in the industry. According to the National Urban Transportation Association survey, from 2017 to 2019, the growth rate of shared micro-transportation use in the United States increased by 289%, mainly contributed by the expansion of shared scooters. Once launched in 2018, the shared scooters attracted about 39 million people to use them, doubling to 86 million in 2019.

Recently, according to relevant statistics, the global sales of shared service electric scooters in 2021 was 2.297 million units, and it is expected to rise to 7.547 million units in 2022-2025 with a CAGR of 32.27%.
