Future development trend:

In the past few years, the industrial capacity of the sewage treatment industry has undergone qualitative changes, which are mainly caused by two aspects, one is the rapid increase in the number of sewage treatment plants, and the other is the rapid increase in the overall treatment capacity. There are more than 3,000 sewage treatment plants, and the standard amount of industrial wastewater discharge was 54 billion tons in 2011, and will exceed 76 billion tons in 2012. For example, membrane treatment technology in sewage treatment, sludge treatment, recycled water utilization, etc. If China wants to catch up with the gap with other developed countries in quality, it needs to increase investment in the supervision mechanism, investment and financing mechanism of sewage treatment and the industrial chain of all links, so as to improve the overall level of urban sewage treatment and effectively control water pollution.

The "2014-2018 China Sewage Treatment Industry Market Outlook and Investment Planning Analysis Report" shows that with the continuous advancement of modernization and industrialization in China, the total amount of wastewater discharge continues to grow. From 2001 to 2012, the total amount of wastewater discharged in China increased from 43.3 billion tons in 2001 to 68.5 billion tons in 2012, and the total amount of wastewater discharged increased by 25.2 billion tons, an average of 2.1 billion tons of wastewater discharged each year, with an average annual compound growth rate of about 4.3%.

From the perspective of wastewater sources, the growth of total wastewater discharge in China is mainly the growth of urban sewage discharge. The proportion of urban sewage discharge in total wastewater discharge increased from 53.2% in 2001 to 67.6% in 2012. In addition, from 2001 to 2012, the average annual increase of urban domestic sewage discharge was 1.94 billion tons, accounting for 92.2% of the total annual increase of wastewater discharge. From the perspective of the continuous development of water pollution emergencies in our country, it is also mainly the supervision system and punishment of water pollution in our country to be improved.
