The importance of water treatment

The purpose of water treatment is to improve water quality and make it reach a certain water quality standard. According to the treatment object or purpose, it is mainly divided into two categories: water treatment and wastewater treatment. Water treatment includes drinking water treatment and industrial water treatment; Wastewater treatment is divided into domestic sewage treatment and industrial wastewater treatment. Among them, boiler feedwater treatment, recharge water treatment, steam turbine main condensing water treatment and circulating water treatment are particularly closely related to thermal technology. Water treatment is of great significance to the development of industrial production, the improvement of product quality, the protection of human environment and the maintenance of ecological balance.

What is the meaning of water treatment

Water is the source of life and the cradle of human civilization. It nurtures and sustains all life on Earth. As an indispensable resource, water has long been regarded as an inexhaustible and inexhaustible resource. With the continuous development of human society and industrial modernization, the quality of water environment is getting worse and worse, and the shortage of water resources is becoming more and more serious. The Ministry of Construction, the State Environmental Protection Administration and the Ministry of Science and Technology pointed out in the "Urban sewage treatment and pollution prevention technology Policy" : "The construction of urban sewage treatment facilities should adopt mature and reliable technology. The effluent of urban sewage treatment facilities shall comply with the water pollutant discharge control requirements stipulated by the state or local government. "Environmental protection, energy conservation and emission reduction are important measures to implement the scientific outlook on development and build a harmonious socialist society." This is the inevitable choice of building a resource-saving and environment-friendly society. In recent years, although the efficiency of sewage treatment in China has been continuously improved, the shortcomings of nitrogen and phosphorus removal in China's sewage treatment plants are generally high energy consumption, low efficiency and unstable operation. The sewage treatment plants in developed countries have basically realized the automatic detection and process control of the main parameters of the process, but the automatic control of sewage treatment in China started relatively late. It was only after the 1990s that sewage treatment plants began to attract people to use automatic control systems. Domestic sewage treatment plant automation control system is less applied, compared with developed countries, there is a big gap in operation management and process control. At present, the water and electricity consumption per ton of urban sewage treatment plants in China is almost twice that of developed countries, and the operation and management personnel are several times that of developed countries, and most of the sewage treatment plants that have been built are still in a manually operated state. The efficiency of urban domestic sewage treatment has decreased significantly.


The upgrading and renovation of sewage treatment plants must rely on the progress of science and technology, and there must be the guarantee and support of new and high-tech technologies from beginning to end. Urban sewage treatment technology is the key to the efficient operation of urban sewage treatment facilities. Therefore, it has important theoretical and practical significance to realize the optimization and automatic control of urban domestic sewage treatment process, improve the efficiency of urban domestic sewage treatment, and solve the increasingly serious water pollution problem in our country from the aspects of saving funds and improving environmental quality.
