Analysis of current situation

Life science in our country originates from medicine and agriculture. Around the 1950s, China established research institutions in biochemistry, cell biology and neuroscience. In the 1970s, we already had a relatively complete scientific research system for modern life sciences and biotechnology. Up to now, China has formed a four-legged tripod situation, representing the four bases of biotechnology and life science research have formed a scale: Beijing base, Shanghai base, Southwest base, Wuhan base.

At present, the priority areas of life science in China include genome and proteomics, identification and cloning of major disease-related genes, molecular biology and biological tidiums, cytology and developmental biology, and so on. Existing problem

Although the development of life sciences and biotechnology has made great achievements in our country, one thing that cannot be changed is our basic national conditions.
