Appendix A of the manual provides the measured power consumption (24V power supply, i9-12900E):
Shutdown: 3.7W
System idle: 59.4W
Processor full load: 101W
System fully loaded (including peripherals): 147W
Therefore, the official recommendation is to use a 280W AC/DC adapter (P/N: 31-62162-1010-A0), or the user can provide a 9-32V/at least 16A (@ 9V) DC power supply. Actual power consumption may vary depending on peripherals and loads, it is recommended to reserve a margin of 20% to 30%. If installing expansion cards (via M.2 or SATA), additional consideration should be given to heat dissipation, as fanless chassis rely on passive heat dissipation from the casing, and good ventilation should be ensured under high loads.
Environmental adaptability and certification
The MVP-5200 series offers two temperature levels:
Standard model (5209/5207): 0 ℃~50 ℃ (requires 0.6m/s airflow)
Wide temperature model (5207T/5205T): -20 ℃~50 ℃ (requires 0.6m/s airflow, with industrial grade storage)
Other environmental indicators:
Humidity:~95% @ 40 ℃ (no condensation)
Vibration: 5 Grms (SSD)/0.5 Grms (HDD), 5-500Hz
Impact: 50 Grms, half sine 11ms
ESD: Contact ± 4kV, air ± 8kV
EMC:EN61000-6-4/-2,CE & FCC Class A
Safety: UL/cUL, CB certification
The equipment should be installed in a restricted access information technology room (compliant with NFPA 75) and ensure that the power lines are grounded.
Safety Warning and Operating Standards
The manual emphasizes the following safety red lines:
Lithium battery: There is a risk of explosion when replacing the wrong model, and it must be handled by authorized personnel.
Hot surface: The casing may exceed 60 ℃ under high load and needs to be cooled before operation.
Power polarity: The center positive pole (V+) must be strictly followed, reverse connection will cause irreversible damage.
Installation direction: The I/O interface must not face downwards, and the device must be installed horizontally (left and right sides) to ensure heat dissipation and convection.
Wiring terminals: It is recommended to use 30-10 AWG copper wire with a torque of 5.3 pounds per inch, operated by a professional electrician.
