3.2 MPT-HL and MPT-HC
MPT-HL is 2.5RU and weighs 8.85-12.7kg depending on the configuration; MPT-HC is more compact. Their connection with ODU supports up to 12 NSB (unprotected) or 6 HSB (hot backup) RF channels, or a combination of both. MPT-HL also supports millimeter wave frequency bands (such as 38GHz).
Synchronization and Timing - Key Features
Microwave feedback requires extremely high synchronization, and 9500 MPR provides multiple synchronization solutions:
Synchronous Ethernet (SyncE)+SSM (G.8264);
IEEE 1588v2 (Precision Time Protocol), supporting high-precision time synchronization;
Built in Stratum 3 clock;
External reference input/output (2MHz, 5MHz, 10MHz);
Line clock recovery ACR、DCR;
DS1 clock extraction.
These features enable the seamless integration of 9500 MPR into mobile networks that require phase synchronization, such as LTE-TDD and 5G.

Business Carrying and Quality of Service (QoS)
The system supports Circuit Simulation Services (CES, compliant with MEF 8) to ensure deterministic behavior of TDM services in packet networks, with latency and jitter performance comparable to native TDM. Simultaneously supporting:
LAG (Link Aggregation) improves bandwidth and redundancy;
ITU-T G.8032 Multi Service Packet Ring for fast protection switching;
Ethernet OAM(IEEE 802.1ag);
VLAN tagging (802.1p/Q) and DiffServ (differentiated services) are used for traffic classification and priority queuing based on L2/L3 tagging.
In multi service aggregation scenarios, MSS can consolidate multiple access technologies (DS1, DS3, Ethernet) into the Ethernet aggregation layer without the need for additional equipment.
Environmental adaptability and reliability
6.1 Temperature Range
IDU(MSS):-40°C ~ +65°C;
ODU:-33°C ~ +55°C;
MPT-HL: -5 ° C~+55 ° C.
6.2 Standard Compliance
NEBS Level 3(Telcordia GR-63、GR-1089);
EMC:EN 55022 Class B,EN 301 489-1/4;
Safety: EN 60950-1;
Ecology: ECMA TR/70.
6.3 Power Supply
MSS supports -48~-60V DC (standard), optional -24~-60V or+24V; MPT-HL supports+24~+60V DC.
Management and Operations
Integrated network management supports Alcatel Lucent 5620 SAM (Service Aware Manager) and 1340 INC (Integrated Network Controller) to achieve end-to-end service aware management. Built in web browser for NE local supervision, SNMP agent supports TCP/IP re routing. Compatible with TSM 8000 and all Alcatel Lucent wireless and transmission devices.
Typical application scenarios
Mobile backhaul: Smooth evolution from 2G/3G to 4G/5G, supporting TDM and IP hybrid services;
Private network communication: land mobile radio interconnection in industries such as public safety, rail transit, and power;
Enterprise WAN Interconnection: Wide Area Network Connection between ISPs and Large Enterprises;
Multi directional wireless node: supports ring or mesh topology, utilizing G.8032 for fast protection.
Selection reference suggestions
Capacity requirement: If the single hop capacity exceeds 1Gb/s, consider XPIC configuration or high frequency bandwidth;
Frequency band selection: 6GHz and below are suitable for long distances, while 11GHz and above are suitable for short distances and large capacities;
Protection method: HSB (hot backup) provides higher availability, NSB (non protected) is economical;
Synchronization requirement: If phase synchronization is required, a version that supports 1588v2 must be selected and configured correctly;
Environmental temperature: IDU can withstand -40 ° C, suitable for outdoor cabinets; ODU should pay attention to the low temperature limit (-33 ° C).
