Data reliability and security: a strong defense line
In SCADA systems, data loss is often unacceptable. ControlWave Micro has established the highest standards for data reliability through a distributed database architecture.
Distributed Historical Database
The system stores timestamp historical data in local non-volatile flash memory. Even in the event of communication interruption, the controller can still independently record data. After communication is restored, OpenBSI will automatically detect and supplement missing data, which fully complies with the API 21 standard requirements. In addition, the audit system records all major events and alarms, providing a complete "black box" function for accident tracing.
Multi layer security protection
Security is not only reflected in the DNP3 SAv5 authentication at the protocol layer, but also in the physical and operational levels. The device can be equipped with a panel key switch, providing three operation modes: operation, remote, and local. In 'run' mode, any program download or modification request will be rejected to prevent accidental operation or malicious tampering.
In terms of network security, ControlWave Micro has implemented a multi-user secure access system that supports up to 240 user accounts and protects usernames and passwords through 56 bit encryption technology. Administrators can finely allocate 64 different access permissions, from reading data to modifying configurations, achieving fine-grained permission control.
Environmental adaptability and certification: Born for harsh environments
The original design intention of ControlWave Micro is to cope with extreme environments. Its working temperature range is wide, from -40 ° C to 70 ° C, and it can also maintain a low temperature operation capability of -20 ° C when connected to a display screen. The circuit boards are coated with three proof paint, which meets the ANSI/ISA 71.04 Class G3 environmental standard and can resist chemical gas corrosion, moisture, and dust.
In terms of safety certification, the product has passed multiple international authoritative certifications:
Hazardous Area Certification: Possessing UL/CUL Class I, Division 2 certification, as well as ATEX, UKCA, TR CU certification, etc., it allows safe use in hazardous areas where flammable gases exist, such as oil and gas fields.
EMC certification: Compliant with EN 55022 and IEC 61000-4-3 standards, possessing excellent resistance to electromagnetic interference.
Environmental compliance: Compliant with RoHS 2 directive, reflecting Emerson's commitment to environmental protection.
