Battery management and data retention

The eTOP series 300 operation panel is equipped with a rechargeable lithium battery (model VL2330), which cannot be replaced by the user. The battery maintains the following information:

Hardware real-time clock (date and time)

Event List

Charging requirement: It must be charged for 48 hours during the first installation. After the battery is fully charged, it can guarantee a data backup time of 3 months in a 25 ° C environment.

This battery management solution ensures that critical system information and time data can be maintained even in the event of a main power outage, providing important support for system restart and fault diagnosis.

Maintenance and Cleaning Procedures

9.1 Panel Cleaning

The equipment can only be cleaned with soft cloth and neutral soap products, and solvents are strictly prohibited. This limitation is due to the chemical resistance of the front panel film, and improper cleaning agents may cause panel damage or reduced protective performance.

9.2 Sealing gasket maintenance

After long-term use of the installed sealing gasket, or after the equipment and its sealing gasket are removed from the panel, the original protection level cannot be guaranteed. Regularly check the condition of the sealing gasket and contact the supplier for replacement parts if necessary.

Programming and Software Configuration

10.1 Programming Fundamentals

The eTOP series 300 operation panel must be programmed using the Designer programming software package. When programming, the panel needs to be connected to a personal computer running the Designer software, and the panel must be in configuration mode to be programmed. Connect the panel and personal computer using CA253 cable.

The Designer software package is for Windows ™ The application must be installed correctly. Windows ™ The environment is not included in the Designer package and must be pre installed on a personal computer.

10.2 Communication parameter settings

The software package can use the COM1 or COM2 communication port on a personal computer. Users need to ensure that the Designer program is correctly configured to communicate with the actual communication port connected to the cable.

The communication parameters between the panel and the personal computer are:

Speed: 9600 baud (PC/printer port models also support 19200 and 38400 baud)

Parity check: None

Stop bit: 1

The Designer software defaults to using these correct parameters.

10.3 Firmware Compatibility

The Designer software version used must be compatible with the firmware version of the panel to be programmed. For more information on firmware and programming software compatibility, please contact technical support.

Command system and operating mode

11.1 Command Overview

The eTOP series 300 operation panel has an extended set of predefined commands. These commands can be used to access built-in system features, including navigation on all system pages. The standard command allocation is described in this chapter. All commands, except for those defined by the configuration mode, can be modified, deleted, and/or extended using the keyboard macro editor of programming software.

11.2 Touch screen commands

A panel with a touch screen interface will display a touch keyboard on the screen when operator input is required. For system commands, the default keyboard is shown in the figure. Except for the keyboard displayed in configuration mode, all keyboards can be changed by programmers.

The touch screen panel will automatically display a numeric keypad when activated during the data input phase. The pop-up keyboard can be configured by the user. The text '2s' associated with the button indicates that the button must be held down for two seconds to activate the relevant function.

11.3 Configuration Mode Function

The configuration mode provides the following functions:

ENTER: Display the communication driver type and version (if any) stored in the unit, as well as the boot FW version

ENTER 2s: If a valid communication driver and a valid item are stored in the unit, return to operation mode (the button must be held down for 2 seconds)

CLEAR 2s: Call the standard touch screen calibration program

↑ 2s: Update firmware

← 2s: erase static RAM (password and recipe reset)

→ 2s: Display memory menu

To change the panel IP address, Ethernet GMT, and DST settings, touch the item you want to change.

11.4 Operating Mode/Page Mode

To enter configuration mode, touch and hold for 2 seconds in an undefined active touch area on the screen. The value of 2 seconds can be changed in Designer by disabling specific functions, or by using touch buttons programmed with specific configuration mode macros.

Command menu:

Select up/down/left/right: directional navigation

ENTER: Activate selection

CLEAR: Return to page mode

System menu:

Select Up/Down: Navigation

ENTER: Activate selection (returns to page mode when selecting EXT)

CLEAR: Return to page mode

Special Mode Operation Guide

12.1 Touch screen calibration

Touch screen calibration may need to be performed when there are abnormal operations on the touch screen interface to restore its normal function.
